Act 1
INT. BEDROOM - LIVINGROOM - 02.45
Awaking in bed, PETER glances at the bedside clock.
PETER (V.O): Oh, I've just slept for one cycle.
Going out to the living room, Peter sees his WIFE watching Paris 2024 on TV.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'd better prepare for my Korean quiz.
Peter sits next to his wife, opening a textbook with the title "I Love Korean".
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My wife has done it hours ago.
PETER: Can you give me some tips so that I can focus better?
His wife flips through the pages.
PETER (V.O): We meant to do the revisions together while taking a trip to France.
Act 2
MONTAGE OF THEIR TRIP TO FRANCE (July 12-24, 2024)
A. HK airport lounge. Peter and his wife are doing revisions in Korean.
B. French cities. They are touring, Paris, Metz, Nancy, Strasbourg, Colmar, Dijohn and Paris.
C. Paris airport shop. Peter's wife is buying a luxury bag.
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O): I was so glad that our flight landed in Hong Kong as scheduled at 06:30, as I had a professional appointment at 09:00.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And the next day, I've to moderate a session in an IP Conference.
FLASHBACK
INT. SCHOOL OF LAW, HKCU - DAY (July 25, 2024)
Corridor. SOMEONE is taking a photo for Peter and IRENE.
IRENE: The speakers were heavy weights. Only you've the stature to act as the moderator.
Peter smiles.
INT. RESTAURANT - NIGHT
Over dinner, Peter chats with the PROFESSORS.
PROFESSOR#1: Peter, why don't you perform for us like what you used to do?
PETER: I love to showcase creativity. But I haven't brought my guitar.
PROFESSOR#2: You can do A Cappella...
PETER's nodding.
PROFESSOR#3: Peter, why don't you leave it till tomorrow?
PETER: True.
INT. BEDROOM - 09:30 (July 26, 2024)
Waking up, Peter grabs his broken mobile to check time.
PETER (V.O): I've slept for over nine hours? I meant to go the Conference before nine to entertain the early birds!
MONTAGE OF PETER'S SUBSEQUENT PERFORMANCES
A. Lecture theatre, 13:30. Playing a guitar, Peter sings to the AUDIENCE.
B. Lecture theatre, 17:45. Peter leads the audience to sing a trilingual song.
C. Restaurant, 20:30. We hear Peter strumming his guitar and the PARTICIPANTS singing...Do Good For You & Me!
END MONTAGE
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I felt high but exhausted.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And I haven't got time to fix my broken mobile and to prepare for my Korean quiz.
END FLASHBACK
We see his wife giving Peter some guidance.
PETER (V.O.): I've to catch up.
We see Peter doing his revisions tirelessly and later taking the quiz at around 09:00.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): OMG, I couldn't finish answering all the questions. My preparations were still not enough...
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - BEDROOM - 20:30
Watching TV reports on Paris Olympics 2024, Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "From France to Familiarity..." to a draft.
PETER (V.O): Since my return to Hong Kong from France, I've undertaken multifaceted activities and responsibilities.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Apparently, my transition back to my normal life is seamless, although I'm still adjusting to my jet lag.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Joy comes from the happiness of deeds well done, the zest of creating something refreshingly different.
