PETER (V.O.): A Quoran says that he prefers Quora than Facebook and Twitter because he learns something interesting from Quora answers.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Today is Boxing Day - a day to give gifts. Let me entertain more answer requests then.
Peter checks his Quora notifications.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's my favourite part of a day? Must be in the morning when my mind is fresh and I can find solutions to critical issues.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's the funniest occasion when I made a quick and accurate decision? Must be in 1990 when I bought an apartment like buying a cheap grocery item; and I made a small profit in months.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How does our evolution as hunters impact on our hobbies and occupation in life? I've a strong opinion on that. I believe headhunting and photography are correlated.
Act 2
INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Headhunting was humankind's ritual and ceremonial practice to prove physical capture, soulful dominance and hierarchical prestige.
Typing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As we continue to evolve, we've become less barbaric, and we use cameras to practise our alternative headhunting anytime and anywhere.
Peter continues to read, type and submit his answers
INT. SLEEPING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Sitting in bed, Peter sees his WIFE about waking up.
PETER (V.O.): She works too hard during the day and into the night.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She's enjoying her pubic holiday luxury. Furthermore, today is also our 27th wedding anniversary.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We used to travel around these festive days.
INT. SITTING ROOM - LATER
Peter's WIFE chats with SON, who is playing the piano leisurely.
WIFE: Last year today, your sisters and I were still in Tokyo.
SON: Yes. But we didn't travel during X'mas in 2018. My my elder sister had just begun working. Dad and I had our snowboarding in Niseko in early Dec.
WIFE: Yes. But in Dec, 2017, we went to the Shirakawa Village in Gifu Prefecture. Your elder daughter brought along her university robe to take pre-graduation photos against a snowy and dreamy backdrop.
SON: Yes. And we had a great time in 2016 too.
PETER: Where were we on Boxing Day in 2016?
SON: In a seaside resort, we're treated prestigiously by the hotel proprietor...
PETER: Why?
SON: Mom advised beforehand that it was her 23rd wedding anniversary.
PETER: Oh, yes...
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): Were we travelling during X'mas in 2015?
SON: No, I was preparing for the imminent DSE exams.
PETER: Yes. Did we go in December, 2014?
Silence.
PETER (Cont'd): Let me check the sequence of my photos.
Taping his phone, Peter sees some images appearing on the screen.
PETER (Cont'd): We did go. We flew out on X'mas Day.
Checking other images.
PETER (Cont'd): And in summer, you and I toured Europe. I retired in May, 2014.
WIFE: There's no where we can go now. I didn't expect that I wouldn't be able to see my elder daughter for a whole year. Anyway, I'll prepare a great dinner at home tonight.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - AFTERNOON
Peter connects a hard disk to his computer.
PETER (V.O.): Let me mine the other photos I took on Boxing Day 2016.
Peter examines the images one by one.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Here's the one documenting our 23rd wedding anniversary dinner.
Checking other files.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Yes, we're on the road on our 24th wedding anniversary in 2017.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): On our 25th wedding anniversary, I paid for my wife's a big diamond ring.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): She loves stones. I just take photos.
Pondering.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): If I were born centuries ago anywhere, would I have become a headhunter? Similar answer requests are normal in Quora.
Phone in hand, Peter counts the number of his answers submitted and checks the feedback.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I've entertained 16 requests and they're very well received. Happy Boxing Day to everyone!
