PETER (V.O.): It's a well-structured piece targeting CEOs and the public on cybersecurity. It recommends a defence strategy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Fundamentally, skepticism and cross-verification.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But what if AI could help us before we get fooled? What if we turn the weapon against itself.
Peter mines a deepfake detection platform.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me upload my own MV to check the scanner's accuracy.
Peter places the video link into the "upload" box.
Act 2

On screen, we see the message: your request on queue (6504).
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): So many requests ahead of me.
Peter stands abruptly. Paces.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): You're telling me over 6000 people need to verify they're real? Or if they're fake? Or -
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The machines are busier than we're.
Peter taps WhatsApp and types:...Read your article. Tried to practice what you preach. Queue: 6000+...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): AI is more overwhelmed than humans these days.
He hits "Send". Slumps in his chair.
INT. LIVING ROOM - 14:00
Peter scrolls Facebook on his smartphone. He stops.
PETER (V.O.): An untold story of the Beatles - 1966?
He taps. The video opens. An narrator tells the story: ...In 1966, an eight-year old sick Emma wrote to the Beatles...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Beatles broke hospital rules for a dying girl?
Peter leans forward, captivated. He adjusts his glasses.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Paul sings: Yesterday, George: Here Comes The Sun...
Peter nods, mesmerized.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And then, John sings: Hey Jude?
He blinks. Once. Twice. His face transforms - confusion, then dawning horror.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No. No. No, no, no.
He sits upright.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hey Jude was 1968.
He glances at his phone clock: 14:20.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I began at 14:00, 20 minutes of my life.
EXT. GOLDEN BAY - 15:45
Peter swims along the safety buoy lines.
PETER (V.O.): The heart wants what the ear needs to hear.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): 20 minutes is nothing. 20 minutes believing is everything.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Cross-checking is the new prayer - performed in hope more than expectation.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The past is editable. The present is distracted. The future is verified - but only if we wait.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We're just the first to be fooled at scale. Truth used to be the default. Now, it's a service with a 6000-person queue.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hey Fraud - don't make it true. Take a sad world and make it newer...
Act 3
INXT. LIVING ROOM - 22:30
Peter uploads an AI drawing symbolizing Hey Fraud to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O.): My memory isn't a database. That's why they can't hack it - yet. But AI doesn't need to convince everyone. It just needs to convince everyone else.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At 71, I've learned that doubt is the last freedom they haven't automated. In the age of synthetic media, my firsthand experience become critical infrastructure for authentication,
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The most dangerous fraud isn't the one that fools us. It's the one that fools us so well, we stop believing anything real ever happened.
The END
