FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. STUDY - DAY
PETER has two speakers near him. Then one speaker speaks "left" and the other "right".
PETER (V.O.): Paired.
Peter taps a video clip on his phone. We hear stereo oldies.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Goodies - both the bluetooth speakers and the songs!
Peter then stares at a bigger speaker under the TV set.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm already listening to very nice stereo sounds with extreme bass. That bigger one is superfluous.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps, I'll bring it back to my NT home. While decluttering, I can also have music in my ears.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, let me do that tomorrow.
Act 2
EXT. ROADS - DAY
Peter is driving his WIFE. The car radio is breaking news.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, an actor has passed away due to stomach cancer. He was 67.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm turning 67 soon.
INT. STUDY - LATER
Relaxing on a sofa, Peter is reading Quora notifications.
PETER (V.O.): Here's an interesting one.
On phone screen, we see: What is a list of things you want to do/accomplish when there are 99 days to live?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm living my life. I've no regret if I don't have another day.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The life expectancy of people in Hong Kong is around 85 years of age. I haven't had my bucket list yet.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But if I knew I've just another 99 days to live, the first thing I'll do is to prepare my bucket list, disposing of my legacy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The second thing I'll do is to complete my unfinished works eg songs and music videos. No one can do that for me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And the third thing I'll do is to complete my decluttering early. I've been doing that, but the job is never done.
Peter types on his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me share my answer with my 1000 odd followers.
Peter types: It might be resonating...
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - DAY
Sitting room. After tidying a messy corner and turning on a lamp, Peter places a bluetooth speaker on top of a lecturn.
PETER (V.O.): Looks good.
As Peter taps his phone, we hear: Bluetooth is connected. Peter then taps a video icon, we hear oldies with extreme bass.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Sounds good.
Peter then sits in a rattan swivel chair opposite to the speaker.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel at home, and not in a storeroom now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I haven't cleaned the chair for a long time. Let it also enjoy some sunshine.
Peter then takes the rattan swivel chair to the front garden.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My late wife and I bought this chair in 1983. The cushion is relatively new though.
Peter takes a deep breath.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To sustain this humble corner, I need to buy a USB plug socket to re-charge the speaker and my phones.
Act 3
INT. HOUSEHOLD STORE - LATER
Holding a USB plug socket and an electric glass kettle, Peter pays at the cashier.
PETER (V.O.): I need an electric kettle to boil water as my home's gas supply has been cut due to leakage.
INT. KITCHEN - LATER
Peter boils water with the kettle.
PETER (V.O.): When the boiled water is cooled, I can make ice in the fridge. It's like summer time now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): With electricity and boiled water, my house is habitable now.
INT. STUDY - NIGHT
Peter looks at phone images, depicting his home corner.
PETER (V.O.): The humble corner looks beautiful to me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.): I'll go back to more often. It's my first home.
FADE OUT.
THE END
