Lying on a sofa, PETER checks Quora notifications.
PETER (V.O.): Today is Monday. I don't have any work commitment this week. I can enjoy life.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me respond to some Quora answer requests before going to the beach, the lakeside restaurant and my NT home.
Peter types on his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Many Quorans want to know how to succeed. I'm sharing everything I know from theory to practice.
Peter finishes his typing.
PETER (V.O.): But we often get too busy to work to succeed and neglect the need to live well.
Act 2
EXT. GOLDEN BEACH SWIMMING AREA - NOON
Along the outer limit, Peter is swimming leisurely.
PETER (V.O.): Against my discipline, I haven't swum for two days.
FLASHBACK
INT. BEDROOM - MORNING (LAST SATURDAY)
Peter is lying in bed.
DREAM SEQUENCE
A. Peter feels and visualizes a brief headache.
B. Then, Peter hears a "pop" sound.
C. Then, Peter visualizes the bursting of a blood vessel in his brain.
END DREAM SEQUENCE
Peter opens his eyes.
PETER (V.O.): Was I dreaming or not?
Feeling himself.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't have any sudden numbness, dizziness or eyesight problems.
Wondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm just confused. Can one really hear and visualize the bursting of a blood vessel in the brain?
Feeling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having no sudden problems in my face, my arm or my speech, I believe I was only dreaming.
RETURN TO PRESENT
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Last Saturday, my elder son came home for dinner; and last Sunday, my wife and I watched the film Courier.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Skipping my daily swimming exercise has made it easier for me to schedule my life priorities.
Swimming
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But now, I've the urge to swim longer distance.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The other day I read that swimming from the Mainland to Hong Kong could take 9 hours.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've just paid for an hour's parking at the Beach's metered car park.
Swimming back to the shore.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've swum to my heart's content.
EXT. GOLDEN BEACH PUBLIC CAR PARK
Before getting in his car, Peter checks the meter.
PETER (V.O.): Expired already?
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - AFTERNOON
Peter dumps some papers into a garbage bag.
PETER (V.O.): Decluttering has become difficult, as the remaining items seem to be invaluable...
Wondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't know how to characterize my decluttering. Is it work or life? And how to strike a balance?
Wondering.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): If it's work, I'd better walk away from it. If it's life, I'd do more.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - NIGHT
Thinking
PETER (V.O.): In the decluttering context, I'd better forget about work-life balance.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I just create a system to support the things that I want to do.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even if my so doing is imbalanced, so be it.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've the remainder of the week to check if such a neutral strategy would work for my life.
