Kaji: Behavioural Change

FADE IN.

Act 1

INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT

Sitting between the PACK LEADER and a GANG MEMBER at the dining table, KAJI focuses intensely on PETER's cues.

KAJI (V.O.): Is he about to go to the sleeping room?

FLASHBACK

INT. DINING ROOM - SLEEPING ROOM - NIGHT

Seeing Peter leaving the dinner table for the sleeping room, Kaji follows swiftly.

When they're inside the dark sleeping room, Peter lets Kaji have a treat.

Suddenly, the Pack leader appears from behind and remarks.

PACK LEADER: I've caught you in the act!

KAJI (V.O.): Peter looks embarrassed while I finish my treat nonetheless.

END FLASHBACK

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since then, Peter seems to have a behavioural change.

Act 2

INT. DINING ROOM - SITTING ROOM - CONTINOUS

As Peter leaves the dinner table, Kaji gets down from her seat to follow.

KAJI (V.O.) (COTINOUS): But he isn't going to the sleeping room.

Kaji stares at Peter who sits on a sofa.

PETER: Nothing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's strange. He has changed his attitude.

We hear table-knocking sounds.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's a cue for food on the dinner table for me.

Returning to the dining room and resuming her seat, Kaji sees a treat on the table.

PACK LEADER: Okay.

Kaji grabs the treat with her long tongue.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But this treat isn't as nice as those Peter used to treat me.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What makes him change our wonderful practice?

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Could it be because of the Pack Leader's disapproval?

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Hmm...

Act 3

INT. SLEEPING ROOM - SITTING ROOM - MORNING

Alarm clock rings. The Pack Leader and Kaji get out of bed to the sitting room as Peter remains sitting there.

KAJI (V.O.): It's my morning meal time.

Then Peter hears the Pack Leader's remarking loudly from the sitting room.

Peter goes out to check and sees a mess on the floor, next to Kaji's private toilet and not far away from her meal table.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes. I did it. The maid wasn't around. You two were still in bed.

Serving meal to Kaji on the sofa instead, the Pack Leader continues her grumbles.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know she's upset. But if she makes Peter change his behaviour, why can't I change of my behaviour to change hers?

Kaji looks defiant. She refuses to consume her meal, hastily.
