Act 1
INT. HOME - DAY
KAJI is home alone.
KAJI (V.O.): I've the urge to pee.
Going near to the window, Kaji stands with her hind legs, placing her front paws on
the windowsill.
Kaji then adjusts her body slightly towards the window.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel like squatting vertically.
Kaji begins to pee.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's how I do it at home.
Looking relaxed, Kaji steps backwards and moves away.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. PARKS - DAY/NIGHT
Finding her favourite spot, Kaji pees on the grass in the squatting position.
KAJI (V.O.): Like the male dogs, I also mark my territory.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know the males lifting one leg to pee.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They mark their territorities not just on the ground but also on trees, lamp posts etc.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't think that's necessary at all.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): At home, I only pee in the standing position.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've been doing that since I was young.
Looking around.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): In any event, there's nothing here to support my front paws.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel as if the window connects me to a world beyond home.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Should I try to mimick the males?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): If so, I like to raise one of my legs elegantly.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But if I can't maintain my balance, I may fall.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd be very embarrassed if I fell comically.
Pauisng.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why can't I just being true to myself?
RETURN TO PRESENT
Kaji sees PETER returning.
KAJI (V.O.): I've company now.
Staring at Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems that we aren't going out anytime soon.
Getting a cue from Peter, Kaji gets a toy from her toy box.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let's play the fetch game while we wait for the Pack Leader to come home.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I need to distract my yearning to go out.
Act 3
INT. HOME - NIGHT
Sitting close to Peter, Kaji takes a look of the windowsill.
KAJI (V.O.): If I'm not faithful to my individuality, I can't be loyal to anyone.
Peter touches Kaji lovingly.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): One should look beyond sterotypes. My unique qualities make me special.
Hearing the PACK LEADER saying: We'll go out at 11.00pm, Kaji looks content.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm beyond breed.
