Kaji: I'll Be Waiting

Act 1

INT. SITTING ROOM - MORNING

Pushing her nose deep inside a toy box, KAJI finds a tennis ball.

KAJI (V.O.): Yes, here it is.

The PACK LEADER and the GANG are watching Kaji's doing.

PACK LEADER: Ah, you want to play immediately after breakfast?

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Not really. I guard your favourite toy with my life.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I anticipate you all may like to check it out.

Ball in mouth, Kaji stares at them.

Act 2

INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Every time I take the ball out, they'd get it and then throw it.

Thinking.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But if they want the ball, who do they throw it away?

Pondering.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That has been a mystery to me.

Waiting.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps, they might like to practise throwing a ball properly.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But what I've observed so far is that: they seem to have learned nothing.

Kaji looks frustrated.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Well, the ball isn't going to throw itself.

Getting the ball from Kaji, the Pack Leader throws it.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): See the random speed and landing location? Nevertheless, I'll catch it.

Kaji rushes to the landing spot to catch the ball back.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems a Gang Member wants to join.

Getting the ball from Kaji, the Gang MEMBER throws the ball no better.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm always focused. But they aren't.

Kaji rushes to the landing spot to catch the ball back again.

ACT 3

INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

But now, no one wants to throw the ball.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ah, have they realized that they shouldn't throw their love away?

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): If that's the case, they've learned well. But I've a hunch that they're slow in everything.

Waiting.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm disciplined. I'll be waiting.
