Act 1
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
KAJI sees the MAID exiting.
KAJI (V.O.): That means she won't prepare breakfast for Peter and me.
Then, Kaji spots PETER appearing with a banana.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't resist bananas.
As soon as Peter sits on the sofa, Kaji jumps up onto it and sits by his side.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is good exercise - jumping for joy.
Sniffing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):I can smell the sweet aroma.
Licking her upper and lower lips, Kaji is ready for the banana treat.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. BED ROOM - THE NIGHT BEFORE
Kaji sees Peter going to bed.
KAJI (V.O.): Apart from my daily bread, Peter brings me banana treats.
MONTAGE OF PETER'S SKIN CARE ROUTINE
A. Peter peels a banana carefully, ensuring the peels are intact.
B. Using the inside of the banana peels, Peter rubs them on his face, his neck and other dry patches of his skin.
END MONTAGE
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe his skin can't absorb all.
Taking a step back, Kaji jumps onto the bed with four paws.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me check it out if there's any residue left.
Stepping on Peter's chest with her front paws, Kaji first sniffs and then licks Peter's face.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): So sweet.
Licking enthusiastically.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Kaji observes Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): He looks happy today. Would he be jumping for joy?
From her toy box, Kaji grabs a tennis ball with her mouth and drops it at Peter's feet.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me double your joy!
Getting Kaji's cue, Peter picks up the ball and throws it on the floor near Kaji.
PETER: Shoot it!
When the ball bounces up, Kaji shoots it with her nose forcefully.
PETER (Cont'd): Woosh! Good girl!
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Again! Peter!
Repeating the shooting game a few times, we see diminishing returns.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel bored playing indoors.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): We haven't gone out for many days.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're always busy. I'm quite alone at home.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd really be jumping for joy if we go out soon.
Kaji retreats to her kernel.
DAYDREAMING SEQUENCE AT THE RIVERSIDE GARDEN
A. A series of green terraces. Kaji jumps from one terrace to another with joy.
B. From the elevated green platforms, Kaji descends from the top to lower ones.
RETURN TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Kaji is resting beside Peter.
KAJI (V.O.): Just then, we've had a good time at the park. I've become more proficient in jumping.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I take pride in my achievements, no matter how small they may seem. I make joy happen.
Kaji stares at Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Jumping for joy means a life lived well.
