  3. Act 1

  4.

  5. INT. HOME - MORNING

  6. Bedroom. A landscape of blankets and slow, even breaths. KAJI is awake at the foot of the bed, between the PACK LEADER and PETER.

  7. KAJI (V.O): Peter stirs awake.

  8. KAJI crosses over and begins to lick Peter's nose.

  9. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The most faithful alarm clock doesn't chime; it licks. And it wakes not just the body - it wakes the heart to its purpose.

  10. Kaji delivers a wet swipe across Peter's mouth.

  11. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): We build our own language. It has no words, only a morning lick and the understanding that follows.

  12. Kaji gently licks Peter's eyes.

  13. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The smallest ritual speak the loudest truths. A single lick can say what a thousand words can't.

  14. Peter gets up.

  15. PETER: The maid is on leave today. I'm going to buy a loaf of bread for us.

  16. Act 2

  17. INT. HOME - LATER

  18. Dining room. Kaji leaps onto a chair to join Peter.

  19. KAJI (V.O): A promise made and kept.

  20. Pausing.

  21. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): True understanding is built on mutual anticipation and care.

  22. Peter puts the a loaf of bread on the table.

  23. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): It's a tangible proof of an intangible bond.

  24. Peter breaks the bread and quickly offers a piece to Kaji.

  25. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): One piece at a time.

  26. Kaji takes other offers.

  27. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The texture and taste explode in my mouth. Perfect.

  28. Pausing.

  29. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Profound joy is sensory and immediate.

  30. Pausing.

  31. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The simplest bread, shared in a sacred morning ritual, becomes the most exquisite feast.

  32. INT. HOME - AFTERNOON

  33. Peter is playing the piano. Kaji is resting in a large massage chair.

  34. KAJI (V.O): I enjoy Peter's sounds, more importantly, his presence.

  35. Kaji looks contented.

  36. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm quite certain that I'm the centre of his world.

  37. Later, Gang Member#1 returns and then leaves.

  38. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): He has been home for about a month or two.

  39. Pausing.

  40. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): He behaves like a vet, imposing strict limitations on my diet.

  41. Later, Gang MEMBER#2 returns; her hand on Kaji's head.

  42. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): She comes home a few days ago.

  43. Pausing.

  44. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Home is an active, living and loving feeling created by the pack.

  45. Pausing.

  46. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): She also gives me lots of treats.

  47. Pausing.

  48. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Love involves missing someone, which makes the reunion all the more meaningful.

  49. Pausing.

  50. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Love is the scent that returns after many seasons, the anchor that holds me fast in a place of changing winds.

  51. Pausing.

  52. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I sincerely hope she stays home for a longer period.

  53. Act 3

  54. EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - NIGHT

  55. Kaji leads the Pack Leader and Peter along a winding path.

  56. KAJI (V.O): My story isn't written in words, but in licks, loaves and love. It's a messy, beautiful, and perfect language of its own.

  57. A white Shiba Inu and then a black Shiba Inu arrive to greet Kaji with enthusiastic tail wags.

  58. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The three pillars of a happy life: the licks that start my day, the loaves that sweeten it, and the love that anchors me.

  59. They play together, joyfully chasing each other and rolling in the grass.

  60. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): From a lick that stirs the soul, to a loaf that seals a promise, to the love that makes it all make sense - this is the only religion I'll ever need.
