Kaji: Main Duty

FADE IN.

Act 1

INT. DINING ROOM - DAY

Food put on the table. KAJI takes the chair seat before the PACK LEADER and PETER take theirs by the side.

KAJI (V.O.): I've been guarding the food since our maid has put on the table.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe the food on the table is better than that I had on the floor not too long ago.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Keeping the pack leader and Peter company is my main duty.

Kaji watches the pack leader cutting a pancake into small pieces.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I trust the pack leader will say OK soon.

Kaji maintains her position.

ACT 2

INT. DINNING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

A dressed-up GANG MEMBER enters, gazing at Kaji.

GANG MEMBER: Oh, you've taken my seat.

KAJI (V.O.): You finished your breakfast. You didn't share any with me.

The pack leader puts a pancake bit in front of Kaji.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before I hear the OK permission, I can only smell it.

Smelling.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It does smell good.

The pack leader, the gang member and Peter all stare at Kaji.

PACK LEADER: OK!

Using her tongue to grab the pancake bit, Kaji consumes it. Others smile.

GANG MEMBER: I'm going out now.

Kaji takes notice.

PACK LEADER: Go and see her off!

Kaji just turns her head towards the departing gang member.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): No, I won't be distracted. I've to focus on my main duty.

As Kaji doesn't move an inch, Peter smiles.

PETER: She's just committed and dedicated to her job!

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've Peter's support.

The pack leader stares at Peter in a disagreeable way.

PACK LEADER: Her omission is a dereliction of duty!

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What? How can it be? I haven't abandoned you and Peter at all.

Peter laughs, as Kaji looks perplexed.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They can't see my good that lies beyond appearance.

The gang member exits.

Act 3

INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm devoted to them nonetheless.

The pack leader passes another pancake bit to Kaji.

PACK LEADER: Last one.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Just let me eat it.

PACK LEADER: OK!

Having consumed it, Kaji gets down from her seat, and begins surveying the floor under the table.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Ha! The really last one is on the floor under the table.

Kaji consumes it at liberty.

INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY

Seeing Peter relaxing on a sofa, Kaji gets close to him and begins to lick all over his face, passionately.

KAJI (V.O.): It should make his day.
