Act 1

INT. SITTING ROOM - MORNING

Resting in her bed, KAJI takes a look at a carton box nearby.

KAJI (V.O.): Some of my packaged treats and toys are still inside.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (COTINOUS): I can tell from the residual scent that they're from a Gang Member.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I used to see her everyday, but not anymore.

Recalling.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I made my mark to deserve all that?

Act 2

INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Kaji stares at the door.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When no one's home, I guard the door.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When the door bell rings, I bark. I welcome those coming home, or I warn that a stranger is at the door.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When the pack is eating, I keep them company.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I won't compete with them for food, I would only take my share when I hear "OK".

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When the pack leader and Peter sleep late, I'd sleep in their bed first so that they'd know it's time to sleep.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): While they're sleeping, they'd like to touch me and I've never refused.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): More importantly, when we're out and someone tries to bully me, I've never had my tail between my legs.

Reflecting.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe I've made my mark.

Recalling.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Days ago, they did something strange...

FLASHBACK

INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT

Kaji sees GANG MEMBER#1 taking out a pink bowl and something from the carton box.

KAJI (V.O.): Is that my new meal bowl?

Kaji then sees Gang Member#1 mixing something in the bowl.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That something doesn't smell good.

Later, the PACK LEADER grabs Kaji to the dining table, forcing her to put her right paw on the stuff.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's that? A kind of pink stool?

Other GANG MEMBERS watch smilingly as PETER takes photos.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd to cooperate as the pack leader is a she who must be obeyed,

RETURN TO PRESENT

Act 3

INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINOUS

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): In fact, my imprint was made in soft clay.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): While the Gang Members were very happy, I felt like a celebrity.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That was their recognition of my making my mark.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): But the recognition wasn't edible.

Kaji gets up.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd better remind Peter to buy breakfast for us.
