  5. INT. HOME - DAY

  6.

  7. Sunlight streams through the window, casting patches of light across the room. KAJI is resting on a plush sofa.

  8. KAJI (V.O.): The lazy afternoon envelops me.

  9. Pausing.

  10. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Peter has just returned, yet I find myself unwilling to make an effort to welcome him back.

  11. Pausing.

  12. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The homecoming moment feels unremarkable, lost in the mundane rhythm of our lives.

  13. Peter sits beside Kaji.

  14. KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I prefer to stay in my own space, lost in my thoughts, letting the silence linger between us.

  15. Pausing.

  16. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I find clarity and enjoys the freedom of not engaging.

  17. Act 2

  18. INT. HOME - LATE AFTERNOON

  19. The Pack Leader returns, but Kaji stands firm in her defiance of the expectation to greet her.

  20. PACKLEADER: Let me cheer you up!

  21. The Pack Leader dangles a giant treat. She holds it with playful anticipation, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.

  22. KAJI (V.O): I'm not excited.

  23. PETER: Skipping a treat?

  24. PACK LEADER: Yeeterday, she savoured one for half an hour.

  25. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): No treat tastes better than the air in the park.

  26. Kaji gazes at the Pack Leader and Peter.

  27. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The park is calling.

  28. EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - LATER

  29. Kaji trots ahead of the Pack Leader and Peter, her tail curled with excitment.

  30. KAJI (V.O): Every walk to the riverside park is the same. And yet, it's never the same.

  31. Kaji sniffs the ground, marking her territory in her usual way.

  32. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The park represents freedom, adventure, and connection - things that no treat can replace.

  33. Kaji glances back at the Pack Leader and Peter who strolls leisurely behind her.

  34. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The park smells like possibilities. A treat is just regret in a wrapper.

  35. Pausing.

  36. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): First, the important business...Then...the throne.

  37. Having transacted her important business, Kaji spots PEOPLE sitting on benches.

  38. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): My usual spots are taken.

  39. PACK LEADER: Want to sit on the bench again?

  40. Kaji leads the Pack Leader and Peter down the path, gazing at each occupied bench.

  41. PETER: I see an empty one at the far end of the Park.

  42. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): They understand me.

  43. Arriving at the vacant bench, Kaji leaps up, and sits like a queen surveying her kingdom.

  44. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Victory...

  45. The Pack Leader and Peter collapse onto Kaji's bench. They exchanges glances.

  46. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): But there's no grass on the ground here,

  47. Observing.

  48. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Only noisy traffic behind us.

  49. Pausing.

  50. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): This...isn't it.

  51. Pausing.

  52. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I'll reclaim my throne next time.

  53. The Pack Leader rubs her head.

  54. Act 3

  55.

  56. INT. HOME - NIGHT

  57. Kaji rests in a massage chair.

  58. KAJI (V.O): To me, it's always park before treat.

  59. Thinking.

  60. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The best treats are wind in my fur, earth under my paws, and a bench with a view.

  61. Reflecting.

  62. KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): The park isn't a place. It's the "click" when the world fits my paws just right.

  63. FADE OUT

  65. THE END
