FADE IN.

Act 1

INT. SLEEPING ROOM - EARLY MORNING

Still dark. KAJI sees the PACK LEADER coming in.

KAJI (V.O.): Following the movement of the air, I can sniff the first odor of morning.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The pack leader must have fallen asleep in the sitting room again.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm still sleepy.

Kaji sleeps again.

INT. SLEEPING ROOM - CORRIDOR - MORNING

Hearing some sounds, Kaji gets out of bed to sniff the corridor floor.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can smell the remaining odor of the maid. She has already left home.

Peter appears.

PETER: I'm going out. Stay home.

Act 2

INT. SITTING ROOM - MORNING

After sniffing, KAJI goes to the door.

KAJI (V.O.): I can sniff the odor of Peter.

Door opens.

Kaji sees Peter holding two loaded plastic bags.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me check what's inside.

Standing up on hind legs, Kaji sniffs the bags slightly.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Among other things, there's some bread. My nose is particularly sensitive to the odor of food.

Kaji escorts Peter to the dining room.

INT. DINING ROOM - LATER

As Peter puts the bags of food on the table, Kaji sits guarding.

PETER: Breakfast on the table!

KAJI (V.O.): Yes, the pack leader and a gang member have to be told, or they don't know.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They rely on their eyes to survive.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): My nose is an instrument of precision. I believe my nose is at least 1000 times more sensitive than them!

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I reckon I spend about 1/3 of my time sniffing.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): While doing that, scent particles stick on my healthy damp nose. They make me smell better the environment.

Recalling.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's why when I lick Peter, I start off by licking his nose as wet as mine.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): As he uses a lot of his eyes, I lick them ceremoniously.

Pausing.

My healthy wet nose allows me to smell the world better.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I use both my eyes and nose to assess the environment to communicate.

Kaji doesn't see anyone coming out from the corridor.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, can't they smell the room is full of glorious odor?

Act 3

INT. DINING ROOM - LATER

As the pack leader and a gang member take their seats, Kaji shares a seat with Peter.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe I need good food to keep my nose, my eyes and my fur in top form.

They begin to have breakfast together.

INT. SLEEPING ROOM - NIGHT

Kaji sees Peter in bed.

KAJI (V.O.): I can smell odor in different locations.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): It's bedtime, although the pack leader is still working outside.

With sleepy eyes, Kaji lies down in her spot.

FADE OUT.

THE END
