Act 1
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
Pacing around, KAJI only sees the MAID.
KAJI (V.O.): The pack leader and the gang aren't home.
Kaji approaches the Maid, her eyes filled with curiosity and longing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Only she can give me companionship now.
We see the Maid having intense screen time.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Who is she communicating with?
Listening to the exchanges.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems they've lots to share via that thing.
Knudging her gently, the Maid reacts with a casual touch of Kaji's fur.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It isn't soulful.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT (A while ago)
Enthusiastically, Kaji welcomes MEMBER#1 and her FRIEND home.
KAJI (V.O.): I haven't seen both of you for some time!
As the couple sits on a sofa, Kaji joins them.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have you brought any treats for me?
MEMBER#1: Yes, you just wait!
As Member#1 moves her hand gently on the surface of her fur, Kaji's eyes are filled with happiness.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although she has a friend now, she's still very attached to me.
MEMBER#1: We'll take you for a walk in the riverside parks.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Going "kai-kai"? That's even better.
MONTAGE OF THEIR TOGETHERNESS
A. Exploring the greens, Kaji investigates and sniffs scents.
B. Seeing a big STRANGER, Kaji barks at him before leaving him alone.
C. Kaji then engages PEOPLE sitting on benches.
END MONTAGE
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Being outdoors, my senses come alive.
INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT (Days later)
Kaji mingles amidst the PACK LEADER and the GANG.
KAJI (V.O.)：What's happening? Everybody is home.
As the party take their seats, Kaji realizes something.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't have my seat this time!
Kaji settles under the dining table.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can only see their feet.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would Peter pass me treats under the table?
Waiting and waiting.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Even Peter has forgotten about me!
Then, we hear Member#1 remarking emotionally.
MEMBER#1: Oh, I've only a few more minutes with our lovely pet here.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe she's referring to me.
Member#1 crouches down to hug Kaji passionately.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh dear! That isn't a good omen.
Soon, Kaji sees Member#1 and her friend leaving.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): When will I see them again?
RETURNING TO PRESENT
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Resting on a sofa, Kaji stares at Peter singing and playing the guitar.
KAJI (V.O.): Is he using his voice and the sound from that plank of wood to communicate better with me?
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe there're deep human experience and emotions that I don't understand.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Anyhow, the vivid sights and the special sounds are like songs of the soul to me.
FADE OUT
