Act 1
EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - AFTERNOON (Yesterday)
The sun shines brightly. KAJI arrives in a carrier cart being pushed by the PACK LEADER and escorted by PETER.
KAJI (V.O): Before I injured my left leg, I ran and led them here.
Kaji's nose twitches.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The scents around me is fresh.
Kaji observes the environment.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Other dogs and people are enjoying the park.
As the Pack Leader is about to place Kaji on the grass, Peter remarks "Flying".
KAJI (V.O): While flying, I shouldn't move my body parts.
On the ground, Kaji does a whole-body shake.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I want to shake off my flying tension and anxiety.
Act 2
EXT. RIVERSIDE PARK - CONTINUOUS
Kaji begins to sniff the ground.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me retrace the familiar scents.
Kaji walks unsteadily here and there.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where is the right spot?
PACK LEADER: Don't be too choosy...
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm feeling more the urge to relieve myself.
As she attempts to run, Kaji's lifts her left leg off the ground, creating an uneven running rhythm.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I fear pain.
With a little circle, Kaji begins to squat.
PETER: Oh, she's about to do it.
PACK LEADER: Good. She didn't do it yesterday.
While focusing on her task at hand, Kaji glances at Peter.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): His support is reassuring.
As Kaji shakes her fur lightly, the Pack Leader passes the lesh to Peter.
PACK LEADER: I've to tidy up the mess.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): While they like to see me kicking the grass with full force, I hesitate to do that.
INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT
Kaji is resting on her sofa, as the Pack Leader kneels beside her.
KAJI (V.O.): I trust her, although I don't know what she's after.
PACK LEADER: The Vet said I could administer physio to your operated left leg.
Through gentle stretches, the Pack Leader guides Kaji to extend her left leg slowly.
PACK LEADER (Cont'd): You've recovered pretty well. Have the courage to use your left leg...
We hear Peter remarking.
PETER: Good girl.
KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): But that's my pain point...
INT. RIVERSIDE PARK - EVENING (Today)
The party arrive in their usual way.
KAJI (V.O): I don't know why they woudn't let me walk here.
PACK LEADER: The Vet said that she might do a 10-minute walk each day.
On the grass, Kaji spots a flock of sparrows strolling in front of her.
KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I want to race after them...
PACK LEADER: No! You can't even walk the line.
KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I think I can if the line isn't too straight.
As the sparrows scatter, Kaji sees a FOE nearby.
PACK LEADER: No way!
Act 3
INT. RIVERSIDE PARK - LATER
Dusk falls. Soft lights illuminate the scene. They walk towards an estate.
KAJI (V.O): Overcoming challenges, whether physical or emotional, takes determination and effort.
Pasuing.
KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): I embrace my vulnerabilities and accept struggles is part of my growth.
Thinking.
KAJI (V.O) (Cont'd): Between chaos and order, I've the ability to walk the line with an open mind and heart.
