DREAM SEQUENCE OF KAJI
A. INT, SLEEPING ROOM - DAY
At the end of the bed, KAJI sees PETER sleeping.
Carefully jumping down the bed, Kaji stretches her hands and legs.
B. INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
Kaji sees the dressed-up MAID leaving home.
KAJI (V.O.): Oh, she's on leave today. She won't prepare breakfast for us.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): I hate anything that disrupts my habit.
Kaji sees Peter leaving home too.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Oh dear...
Act 2
C. INT. DINING ROOM - DAY
Listening.
KAJI (V.O.): The tortoises are pretty quiet. The maid might have fed them already.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Why doesn't she prepare breakfast for us as well? Both Peter and I are up.
D. INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
Some sounds.
KAJI (V.O.): Someone's at the door.
Rushing to the door, Kaji sees Peter entering.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Welcome back! Have you brought me anything?
Climbing up on Peter, Kaji sniffs his bags.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've smelt something, but I can't see them.
E. INT. DINING ROOM - DAY
Looking at Kaji, Peter points a finger at a dining chair.
KAJI (V.O.): Yes, take my seat.
Both seated, Peter opens the bags on the table
KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Yummy treats!
Peter pushes them all towards Kaji.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is that true? I don't have to beg?
Kaji begins to grab for the treats with her tongue.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why can't I grab them? My tongue is long enough.
Kaji tries again and again.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're so near and so far away...
END DREAM SEQUENCE
Waking up, Kaji sees Peter touching her.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, I was only dreaming.
Following Peter, Kaji leaves the room
INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY
KAJI (V.O.): No sign of our maid, and also no food on the table.
Kaji sees Peter leaving home.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh my god.
Act 3
INT. SITTING ROOM - CONTINUOUS
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Would Peter bring home treats after that? I dreamt he did.
A beat.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Someone is at the door.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe it's Peter.
Kaji sees Peter entering.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can smell treats in his bags.
Pausing.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Did we dream the same dream?
Peter gestures Kaji to take her seat.
KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, a dream we dreamt together is reality.
FADE OUT.
