  1. FADE IN.

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. SLEEPING ROOM - EARLY MORNING

  4. It's 5:45am. PETER, in bed, is awake as KAJI, the family pet, stays close at his feet.

  5. PETER: (V.O.): I don't have any pressure at all. But somethings have been resonating in me.

  6. Recalling.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At a HKUST meeting yesterday, I came to know a co-founder of an entrepreneurial business. He is a HKUST alumni, sharing his business model.

  8. Pausing.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He gave those at the meeting a bottle of raw honey with lychee flavour. It's made in Hong Kong.

  10. Pausing.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And then I read from his name card an adopted slogan: "Life is a flower for which love is the honey." It's from Victor Hugo: La vie est une fleur, l'amour en est le miel.

  12. Pausing.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It means that life uses love as the honey to sustain the humankind.

  15. INT. STUDY - LATER

  16. The TV is on, reporting news.

  17. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Some people call persons they love as "honey". Love is a figurative sweet emotion.

  18. Pausing.

  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In the many adventures of Winnie the Pooh, "honey" is spelt as "hunny". It sounds cute and correct to me.

  20. Pausing.

  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It was also yesterday that I had a chat with a chamber mate about many things. On relationship, a once interesting one can become uninteresting.

  22. Pausing.

  23. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And it was days ago, I read about a murder trial story. The victim was described as an impatient and irritable woman who gave a lot of orders to the accused.

  24. Pausing.

  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The accused was her husband who was usually obedient like a sheep.

  26. Pausing.

  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He admitted strangling her wife, wanted to plead manslaughter but wasn't accepted.

  28. Pausing.

  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The concept of love as the honey to sustain life obviously has no place in such a relationship.

  30. Thinking.

  31. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But they were husband and wife by choice, I believe.

  32. Recalling.

  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And a few days ago, I read a story about a little boy's observation to the question: Why do dogs leave earth first?

  34. Peter checks his phone screen.

  35. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Here's the quote: "People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life - like loving everybody all the time and being nice. Dogs already know how to do that so that they don't have to stay that long."

  36. Pausing.

  37. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Why don't people love everybody all the time and being nice?

  38. As the TV anchor reporting news about Hong Kong, we see clips of interviews.

  39. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They've their cognitive bias. They create their own subjective reality based on their own subjective perception rather than based on objective input. That dictates their words and actions.

  40. Thinking.

  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They enslave themselves in their biases and aren't free. They should fight against themselves.

  42. Pausing.

  43. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I had some previous engagement with some of them. What I hate the most has been that they're so untruthful.

  44. We hear from the TV: ...false sincerity, fake sincerity...

  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): These soundbites aptly describe their own words and actions.

  46. Pausing.

  47. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're no different from acting as antagonists in screenplays.

  48. Act 3.

  49. INT. KITCHEN - DAY

  50. Opening a bottle of raw honey with lychee flavour, Peter takes a small spoonful of it.

  51. PETER (V.O.): Wow! Raw honey tastes so nice.

  52. Peter opens another bottle of regular honey and takes a small spoonful of it.

  53. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I can tell the difference. Regular honey might have hidden sugars or sweeteners.

  54. Pausing.

  55. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I love raw and real ones.

  56. Peter surfs the web with his phone.

  57. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Raw honey isn't inexpensive. But consumers get value for niceties in life.

  58. INT. SLEEPING ROOM - NIGHT

  59. Sitting in bed, Peter is listening to oldies from the radio.

  60. PETER (V.O.): Like flowers, lives bloom and wither. In the autumn of my life, I feel, through the taste of raw honey, how significant love is.

  61. Pausing.

  62. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): People and peoples should love each other more.

  63. Kaji comes close to kiss Peter.

  64. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Should I call my loved ones "Honey" or "Hunny" from now on?

  65. FADE OUT.

  66. THE END
