Act 1
INT. BEDROOM/DINING ROOM - 07:45
Phone alarms. PETER gets out of bed.
PETER (V.O.): I've a 9:30 am meeting in Central and a lunch appointment in Tai Koo Place.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And I've to go to my car repairer to get back my SMART and take the Beetle to have it fixed.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'd swim and finish my language learning streaks in the late afternoon.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My evening should be quite free.
Soon, KAJI, the family pet, escorts Peter to the dinning room to have breakfast together.
Act 2
EXT. STREETS - 08:21
In a three-piece suit, Peter checks a WhatsApp message while walking towards a MTR station.
PETER (V.O) : It's from Terrenz, reminding me that the meeting venue is in Prince Building.
Smiling.
PETER (Cont'd): She's so nice...It's possible I might have gone to the usual meeting venue in the HK Club building.
INT. BOARDROOM - 09:15
A large table with ergonomic chairs. Peter is greeted by TERRENZ and ROBERT.
PETER: Morning...Terrenz, thank you so much for thinking about me early in the morning...
TERRENZ: You haven't brought with you a guitar...consider singing your HKUST song to all next time...
PETER (V.O): She must have heard about my performance in a dinner party last week.
They chat, and soon Peter sees another WhatsApp message.
PETER (Cont'd): It's from Dora, she's so nice, reminding me of our lunch appointment today.
As the CHAIR and OTHERS appear, the meeting begin.
EXT. TRAM - 11:00
Rhythmic sounds of a tram on its tracks. Peter sits on the upper deck, enjoying the lively Hong Kong.
PETER (V.O): I seldom take the tram...but its slow pace suits me now.
INT. PENNA, TAI KOO PLAZA - 12:45
Elegant. Peter and DORA are having an Italian lunch.
PETER: Tell me about your recent travel.
DORA: My husband and I were on a Mediterranean cruise...breathtaking views...we had a great time!
PETER: My wife and I went to Japan again. She wanted to try the mixed onsen...I strived to provide cover...but without success!
Laughter. Later, Dora presents Peter with a box of chocolate.
DORA: All the way from Italy!
Peter expresses his gratitude.
EXT. CAR REPAIR SHOP - 15:45
Having left a Beetle behind, Peter drives the SMART away.
PETER (V.O): The root of my cars' troubles is that I hardly ever drive them.
Accelerating.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I exercise my body regularly though.
INT. SWIMMING POOL - 16:30
Changing room. Peter selects a locker.
PETER (V.O): Hmm, some of them are already out of order... but the pool has just re-opened for two days after weeks of maintenance.
INT. STUDY - 18:00
Working before his laptop, Peter declutters items in his hotmail account.
PETER (V.O): It's only now that I know my account has been storing over 10000 spam mails.
Later, Peter opens his "Sent items" only to find...nothing. He clicks frantically, checking his"Deleted items"
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Have I deleted them? But I can't restore them...no, no, no!
Act 3.
INT. BEDROOM - 23:30
Peter inserts an AI drawing titled: "Meeting, Meal & Mayhem..." to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O): In every meeting, there's a meal waiting to nurture the spirit amidst the mayhem.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The best conversations often happen over a meal, even when mayhem is just around the corner.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When life gets chaotic, a happy meal reminds me of what truly matters.
