Mindful Living

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. BEDROOM - 08:30

  4. Getting out of bed, PETER takes a look of KAJI in bed.

  5. PETER (V.O.): I heard that she felt uneasy when she couldn't find me last week.

  6. INT. DINING ROOM - 08:45

  7. Peter and Kaji are sharing bread lovingly.

  8. PETER (V.O.): This is our another routine.

  9. Peter clears his throat.

  10. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm going back to chambers today. See if my wife and I can have lunch together.

  11. As Peter speaks to his WIFE, we see her nodding and Peter smiling.

  12. Act 2


  14. After Peter's wife has parked the car, a security GUARD approaches.

  15. GUARD: Madam, there was engine oil on your parking lot...

  16. Both Peter and his wife look surprised.

  17. WIFE: Well noted. Many thanks.

  18. PETER: I'll take it to the car repairer tomorrow morning.

  19. WIFE: I'll drive another car and fix the parking matter.

  20. PETER (V.O.): I feel proud that I helped make my wife a professional. And she can park here.

  21. INT. CHAMBERS - 10:00

  22. Appearing, Peter greets SECRETARIES#1, #2 and #3.

  23. SECRETARY#1: Mr Cheung, please take a look of the new office opposite ours.

  24. We see a brightly-lit reception with a red mascot inside.

  25. PETER: What's it?

  26. SECRETARY#1: It's the office of a new public-listed company, featuring a popular artist.

  27. PETER: Oh yes, I read about the IPO this morning.

  28. PETER (V.O.): I might capitalize on my IP portfolios in due course.

  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's nice that secretaries would be more aware of the environment.

  30. Later, Peter greets learned FRIENDS#1 and #2.

  31. PETER (V.O.): They're young and smart, dedicating to professional work.

  32. Peter checks some papers.

  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I now give priority to my voluntary work. I think I can make better impact on that front. My time isn't plentiful.

  34. EXT. DEEP WATER BAY - 11:00

  35. Sunbathing in a floating platform, Peter is in thoughts.

  36. PETER (V.O.): Having had Covid, I want to practise mindful living more.

  37. Later, Peter swims to another floating platform..

  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Mindful living is about presence, awareness, appreciation, reflection, and action.

  39. Reflecting.

  40. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It should help me cope with long Covid, enhancing my life enthusiasm

  41. INT. TIM HO WAN, IFC 2 - 13:30

  42. In a packed environment, Peter and his wife are enjoying dim sums.

  43. PETER (V.O.): I'm glad that we come here again.

  44. Pausing.

  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While I was having Covid, I noted that around 14 Covid patients died in Hong Kong each day.

  46. INT. STUDIO - 18:00

  47. Peter is watching Cable TV's Science channel.

  48. PETER (V.O.): I've been subscribing to its pay service since inception. But today is the last day when I can still watch the channel.

  49. INT. DINING ROOM - 22:00

  50. Peter is sampling a bowl of soup.

  51. PETER (V.O.): My wife prepares it, hoping that it'd revitalize my respiratory system.

  52. Act 3

  53. INT. BEDROOM - 23:00

  54. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Throughout the day, I want to be fully present with my environment and everything within it.

  55. Pausing.

  56. PPETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm aware of the impact of things that I do and of those that others do to me. I anticipate the ripples of each engagement.

  57. Pausing.

  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Mindful living is a conscious way of living. I love it, appreciating the beauty of life in every moment.
