My Schedule

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. LIVING ROOM - 01:30

  4. Mobile in hand, PETER hears his WIFE talking to him.

  5. WIFE: I've just sent you my draft for your comment.

  6. Nodding, Peter reads a lengthy draft on screen.

  7. PETER: I've read it. It's good. But you need to give better particulars on an issue...

  8. WIFE: I've thought about that issue...

  9. PETER: I'm too tired to perfect the draft now...

  10. WIFE: It can wait...

  11. PETER: Good.

  12. Rubbing his eyes, Peter goes to the bedroom.

  13. Act 2

  14. INT. DINING ROOM - 08:15

  15. Having breakfast with KAJI, the family pet, Peter practises Korean via the Duolingo App.

  16. PETER (V.O.): The online exercises are too simple.

  17. Practising.

  18. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm falling behind in my weekly evening classes on Korean at SPACE, HKU.

  19. INT. STUDY - 08:30

  20. Opening a textbook on Korean and listening to Korean from HKUSPACESOUL, Peter recites some words and phrases in Korean.

  21. PETER (V.O): I've to satisfy myself reasonably before recording my oral assignments.

  22. Practising.

  23. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I aim to submit them to the teacher before my 10:30 meeting.

  24. Practising.

  25. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Let me do it one by one.

  26. Later, we see Peter recording his oral assignments and sending them.

  27. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Done!, I can now focus on the meeting.

  28. At 10:20, Peter joins a meeting via Zoom.

  29. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I can't attend in person at Clearwater Bay as I've a 12:30 lunch appointment in TST.

  30. We see and hear Peter asking for the floor and making a substantive intervention.

  31. INT. LIVING ROOM - 11:30

  32. Appearing, Peter sees his wife researching with her laptop.

  33. WIFE (to Peter): I'm exploring if there're alternative parking facilities at Airport Terminal One.

  34. Peter then sees their elder DAUGHTER with her baggage.

  35. PETER: I've to go now. Mom will drive you to the Airport. Take good care of yourself!

  36. DAUGHTER: Yes, see you in November in Seoul and Busan.

  37. Peter leaves first.

  38. PETER (V.O): In order to engage with old friends, I attended only part of the meeting via Zoom and would miss seeing my daughter off at the Airport.

  39. INT. THE STARVIEW, THE ONE - 12:20

  40. Appearing, Peter observes the stylish restaurant.

  41. PETER (V.O): I came here once, attending a wedding banquet during Covid...

  42. Having greeted old FRIENDS#1-3, Peter greets FRIENDS#4-9 as they join.

  43. FRIENDS: Wonderful, 10 of us who went to Tsinghua U in 1996 are here. Are we all good?

  44. PETER: Those can make it here can't be bad.

  45. FRIENDS: Yes, we can still move about.

  46. Catching up, they chat and chat.

  47. EXT. BUS - 16:00

  48. Sitting in the upper deck, Peter is in thoughts.

  49. PETER (V.O): I'd better cook up the theme of my daily creative screenplay now... My wife and I have to attend a 3-hour Korean class from 18:45 tonight.

  50. Thinking.

  51. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And tomorrow morning, I've to deliver a speech for an occasion...

  52. Act 3

  53. INT. LIVING ROOM - 17:45

  54. Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "My Schedule ..." to a draft.

  55. PETER (V.O): Schedules are meant to help, not hinder.

  56. We hear Peter's wife practising Korean seriously.

  57. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I juggle aspects of my daily routines that impact on my life targets, creating my schedule with my lifestyle in mind.

  58. Reflecting.

  59. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'm resilient, I treasure relationships, and I do it my way.
