  1. FADE IN

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. FUNCTION ROOM, HK CLUB - 12:30

  4. Three round tables are set. In a three-piece suit, PETER appears.

  5. PETER (V.O.): The host has invited me to join this luncheon party.

  6. Pausing.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Working together, we've achieved something.

  8. Pausing.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was an administrative group member.

  10. Pausing.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's not that appropriate for me to involve in the creative front.

  12. Pausing.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I've done it in my way.

  14. Act 2

  15. FLASHBACK

  16. INT. STUDIO - DAY (Dec 29, 2022)

  17. Playing the guitar and singing, Peter is recording a simple song, primarily in Cantonese.

  18. PETER (V.O.): I like its catchy melody. As to the lyrics, my value is to promote the Cantonese culture.

  19. Finishing, Peter listens to the sound recording.

  20. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know Cantonese is hard and so the song's verses are short.

  21. Tapping an icon on screen, Peter accepts the take.

  22. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As to the chorus, I use the easy and joyful "Ah-Ah-Ah" shortcut. It fits the mood, and should resonate in listeners' minds.

  23. Peter then inserts some video clips to the project.

  24. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I produce the MV too, as I don't know how to present my song in sheet music.

  25. Pausing.

  26. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I just want to showcase that anyone can be a singer-songwriter and a MV producer.

  27. Having exported his MV, Peter sends it to a chatgroup.

  28. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My raw-but-real stuff could be a fallback, just in case.

  29. EXT. ROAD TO GUANGZHOU - 12:00 (Feb 26, 2023)

  30. Inside a coach. With song sheets in hands, Peter and his COLLEAGUES are rehearsing a song.

  31. PETER (V.O.): Without "HK", the song hasn't any geographical indication.

  32. Finishing singing, Peter makes a remark to ALL.

  33. PETER: I suggest inserting "HK" before "UST". We can work out the musical syllables.

  34. We hear consensus.

  35. END FLASHBACK

  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's my only contribution to the song composed by others.

  37. Later, we see and hear GUESTS speaking one after another. Finally, a GENTLEMAN (85) speaks.

  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It has never occurred to me that I can work with the university's founding President.

  39. Listening attentively.

  40. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When he was planning and doing the third university in Hong Kong from the late 1980s, I was designing Hong Kong's intellectual property system.

  41. Listening attentively.

  42. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): University matters then weren't political and so were intellectual property issues.

  43. Listening attentively.

  44. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He made reference to the late Sir S Y Chung...

  45. Pausing.

  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes, his achievement or contribution to Hong Kong was great.

  47. Thinking.

  48. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): An insightful person wouldn't care what he has achieved, but what he has contributed.

  49. Listening attentively.

  50. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, he hints that the university logo entwines many meanings. I don't know about that.

  51. Pausing.

  52. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me mine them via Wikipedia rather than from GPT language models.

  53. Act 3

  54. INT. FUNCTION ROOM, HK CLUB - 15:00

  55. Guests are leaving.

  56. PETER (V.O.): A fulfilled life is about contribution.

  57. Peter finishes his ice cream quickly.

  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): One's contribution counts, even though it's just a little.

  59. Peter leaves.

  60. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As an instance of the life force, I'm still on my way to create and deliver value to all.

  61. FADE OUT

  62. THE END
