  2. Act 1


  3. INT. BEDROOM - BEFORE 06:00


  4. PETER wakes up.


  5. PETER (V.O.): It seems that I've slept enough.


  6. Peter checks the time.


  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's before 6.am. I slept around 11:00pm last night.


  8. Peter gets out of bed.


  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Time to begin my early swimming routine.


  10. Pausing.


  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a way to add more hours in a day, even though today's Saturday.


  12. Act 2


  13. EXT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - AROUND 07:00


  14. Entrance. People are queuing in lines.


  15. PETER (V.O.): OMG, the quota limit has been reached.


  16. Peter follows the queue.


  17. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As the session began at 06:30, I'd have to wait until dozens of early swimmers have done their exercises.


  18. Thinking.


  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To begin a morning by queuing isn't fun. I can't allow waiting to become a habit.


  20. Peter overhears OTHERS chatting.


  21. OTHERS: Tomorrow, we'll come here to queue up well before 06:30...


  22. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do I've to beat them?


  23. EXT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - AROUND 09:00


  24. A wet-haired Peter exits. He sees no queues at the entrance.


  25. PETER (V.O.): People come and go after the first wave of intake. I'll come here around this time.


  26. INT. BEDROOM - 09:45


  27. Peter rejoins his WIFE In bed.


  28. PETER (V.O.): My wife wouldn't know I've gone swimming 1000 meters.


  29. EXT. MALL - 11:30


  30. Peter and his WIFE get takeaways from restaurants.


  31. PETER: We enjoy buying breakfasts for our children. They always wake up very late.


  32. INT. DINING ROOM - 11:45


  33. The FAMILY are enjoying breakfast, chatting at the same time.


  34. PETER (V.O.): So pleased to hear that our elder daughter in Japan has got job interviews. I just trust the magic of new beginnings.


  35. Pausing.


  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): All of our children have overseas exposure, but our elder daughter is the only one who may be working overseas.


  37. Pausing.


  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's her dream. And now, step by step, she's making it happen.


  39. INT. COLUMBARIUM - 15:15


  40. Peter and his WIFE are inside a cosy room with dozens of compartments for placing urns. They pay particular attention to unit C085.


  41. PETER'S WIFE: Mom! We come here to see you.


  42. PETER (V.O.): Now, we've to accept this imperfect substitute.


  43. They pay their respects. Later, a photo inside a nearby unit catches Peter's attention.

  44. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She looks so young.


  45. Pausing.


  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know such misfortune happens.


  47. Peter takes a deep breath.


  48. Act 3


  49. EXT. GAS STATION - 16:30


  50. Having filled up the tank of his SMART car, Peter pumps its tyre pressure.


  51. PETER (V.O.): I just want things to be in good working order.


  52. EXT. PET GARDEN - 18:00


  53. Peter and his wife are walking KAJI, their pet.


  54. PETER (V.O.): This's what we like - it's good for the body and the soul.


  55. INT. DINNING ROOM - 21:45


  56. Peter's wife presents Spanish Seafood Rice and Pumpkin Soup to the FAMILY.


  57. PETER: Thanks for preparing.


  58. PETER (V.O.): My wife enjoys cooking and eating.


  59. Peter finishes every bit of them.


  60. INT. BED ROOM - 23:00


  61. Peter goes to bed.

  62. .

  63. PETER (V.O.): It's good that I don't have to set any alarm.


  64. Pausing.


  65. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As the day ends, I've a positive thought - life is good and can be better tomorrow.
