INT. BEDROOM - BEFORE 06:00
PETER wakes up.
PETER (V.O.): It seems that I've slept enough.
Peter checks the time.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's before 6.am. I slept around 11:00pm last night.
Peter gets out of bed.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Time to begin my early swimming routine.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a way to add more hours in a day, even though today's Saturday.
Act 2
EXT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - AROUND 07:00
Entrance. People are queuing in lines.
PETER (V.O.): OMG, the quota limit has been reached.
Peter follows the queue.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As the session began at 06:30, I'd have to wait until dozens of early swimmers have done their exercises.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To begin a morning by queuing isn't fun. I can't allow waiting to become a habit.
Peter overhears OTHERS chatting.
OTHERS: Tomorrow, we'll come here to queue up well before 06:30...
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do I've to beat them?
EXT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - AROUND 09:00
A wet-haired Peter exits. He sees no queues at the entrance.
PETER (V.O.): People come and go after the first wave of intake. I'll come here around this time.
INT. BEDROOM - 09:45
Peter rejoins his WIFE In bed.
PETER (V.O.): My wife wouldn't know I've gone swimming 1000 meters.
EXT. MALL - 11:30
Peter and his WIFE get takeaways from restaurants.
PETER: We enjoy buying breakfasts for our children. They always wake up very late.
INT. DINING ROOM - 11:45
The FAMILY are enjoying breakfast, chatting at the same time.
PETER (V.O.): So pleased to hear that our elder daughter in Japan has got job interviews. I just trust the magic of new beginnings.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): All of our children have overseas exposure, but our elder daughter is the only one who may be working overseas.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's her dream. And now, step by step, she's making it happen.
INT. COLUMBARIUM - 15:15
Peter and his WIFE are inside a cosy room with dozens of compartments for placing urns. They pay particular attention to unit C085.
PETER'S WIFE: Mom! We come here to see you.
PETER (V.O.): Now, we've to accept this imperfect substitute.
They pay their respects. Later, a photo inside a nearby unit catches Peter's attention.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): She looks so young.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I know such misfortune happens.
Peter takes a deep breath.
Act 3
EXT. GAS STATION - 16:30
Having filled up the tank of his SMART car, Peter pumps its tyre pressure.
PETER (V.O.): I just want things to be in good working order.
EXT. PET GARDEN - 18:00
Peter and his wife are walking KAJI, their pet.
PETER (V.O.): This's what we like - it's good for the body and the soul.
INT. DINNING ROOM - 21:45
Peter's wife presents Spanish Seafood Rice and Pumpkin Soup to the FAMILY.
PETER: Thanks for preparing.
PETER (V.O.): My wife enjoys cooking and eating.
Peter finishes every bit of them.
INT. BED ROOM - 23:00
Peter goes to bed.

PETER (V.O.): It's good that I don't have to set any alarm.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As the day ends, I've a positive thought - life is good and can be better tomorrow.
