  3. INT. BEDROOM - 11:00


  4. Peter's WIFE sees PETER still sleeping in bed.


  5. WIFE: Time to wake up.


  6. Opening his eyes, Peter checks the time.


  7. PETER (V.O.): Yes, we've a lunch gathering with our relatives at noon.


  8. Peter gets out of bed.


  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yesterday night, I had a happy dinner gathering with HKUST colleagues.


  10. Peter is changing.


  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And after that, we shared videos and photos capturing the happy moments.


  12. Pausing.


  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I also published a simple post in Google Maps. I didn't go to bed until 2am.


  14. Act 2


  15. INT. GRAND DING HOUSE - 12:10


  16. An city-view room. Peter and his wife appear.


  17. PETER (V.O.): We're late, partly because of the waiting time for the lifts.


  18. Pausing.


  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There're just too many people going up to various restaurants.


  20. Pausing.


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our relatives haven't arrived yet. I believe the lift-waiting isn't expected.


  22. Recalling.


  23. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've taken my unvaccinated Mum to restaurant for the first time since the pandemic.


  24. Pausing.


  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although today is the 14th day of the Chinese New Year, it is still the first opportunity for some to get in touch in the New Year.


  26. RELATIVES including a BABY (6 months) arrive. They greet each other happily.


  27. RELATIVE#1: I bring my youngest son as you all haven't seen him yet.


  28. ALL focus on the baby. Relative#1 lets Peter hold the baby.


  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I haven't held one for a long time.


  30. Having got a good hold, Peter brings the baby close to his chest.


  31. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The burden is sweet.


  32. But the baby starts to cry.


  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Fear of strangers is natural.


  34. Peter tries to distract the baby's attention but to no avail.


  35. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't calm his stranger anxiety.


  36. Peter passes the baby back to Relative#1.


  37. INT. SHANG PALACE - 18:30

  38. Peter and his wife arrive.


  39. PETER (V.O.): The dinner is scheduled at 19:00


  40. Peter and his wife are seated.


  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We didn't want to be delayed on the way. Tonight, there's no traffic jam.


  42. MONTAGE OF THE GATHERING


  43. A. Soon, a FAMILY arrives. And they exchange greetings happily.


  44. B. During dinner, Peter and his wife chat with Relatives#2 & 3 endlessly.


  45. C. The party are among the last customers to leave.


  46. RETURN TO PRESENT


  47. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There're just too much stories to share about parenthood and other things.


  48. Saying goodbyes.


  49. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Our long conversations seem too short.


  50. Act 3


  51. INT. BEDROOM - 23:00


  52. Peter stares at a phone image of desserts.

  53. PETER (V.O.): Good food is sweeter when shared with good people.


  54. Thinking.


  55. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The power of gathering strengthens our connection and inspires us delightfully.


  56. Pausing.


  57. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): We're more thoughtful, joyful and hopeful under the rainbow of love.


  58. Peter looks more alive.
