G/F. Carrying a bulky brief case, PETER goes to the lift lobby.
PETER (V.O.): It's like going back to work in the mid-1980s.
Getting out on !/F, Peter enters the High Court Library.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I need to research on something on procedural justice.
Having grabbed a few books from the bookshelves, Peter opens his laptop.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No internet? Not even from my smart phones' hotspots?
Having checked the connections again, Peter gives up.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd better do my research first.
Later, Peter takes off his eye glasses.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My eye is getting worse.
Act 2
INT. STREETS, WANCHAI - 14:15
Cloudy. Walking alone, Peter observes the shops and the passers-by.
PETER (V.O.) : Having worked in the district for about 20 years, I was most familiar with the streets of Wanchai.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.): In Dec 1991, I left the Attorney General's Chambers and joined the Intellectual Property Department.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The Department initially had its rented offices in Ocean Centre, Tsimshatsui.
Strolling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Life was pretty colourful during lunchtime and after work.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Around 1993, the Department moved to the 24-25/F of Wu Chung House, Wanchai.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd: Walking around here now, I feel a certain unique and strange delight.
Peter is checking shop names.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): These shops are new.
Checking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Where's the restaurant I used to frequent?
Having checked the shops nearby again, Peter enters a restaurant.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This restaurant is new.
Later, Peter begins to sample a plate of fried beef noodles with soy sauce.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's tasteless.
We hear thunder sounds. Drinking a cup of Horlick , Peter checks an incoming mail.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): See if I can fill in the form by using the "Fill & Sign" App on my smart phone.
After tapping and typing on the screen clumsily, Peter looks relaxed.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm still not good at doing it. I need more practice even though the skill isn't exciting to learn.
Seeing no rain outside, Peter leaves. Then, we hear a Bang!
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):What's happening? Peter sees chair falling on the floor.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, as I move, my bulky brief case I'm carrying has pushed it down.
A WAITER comes to help.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm an old man now.
Peter exits the restaurant.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me take a different route back.
Walking towards an antique shop, Peter sees an old brown dog blocking the entrance.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I love the dog's couldn't-care-less demeanour.
Act 3
INT. QUEENSWAY GOVERNMENT OFFICES - 16:00
Arriving on the G/F from the lower ground floor, Peter sees vacant spots on a bench.
PETER (V.O.): Let me see if I can get connected to the Internet here.
Opening his laptop, Peter clicks Wi-Fi.HK and gets connected.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'd better satisfy my desire to create something here rather than to waste my time to read boring stuff in the library.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I'm wise enough to know this is the right thing to do.
Peter begins to hit the keyboard cheerfully.
THE END
