    FADE IN

  2. Act 1

  3.

  4. INT. LIVING ROOM - 08:00

  5. Morning sunlight streams through the curtains, casting a warm golden glow, creating an inviting atmosphere. PETER is grabbing his goggles.

  6. PETER (V.O.): I've to go swimming now, I expect to finish an unfinished professional work before attending a HKUST Committee and hosting a dinner.

  7. Pausing.

  8. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Today is actually my wife's birthday. My wife reluctantly agreed I'd give priority to my voluntary work.

  9. Pausing.

  10. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): While she'll enjoy the day herself, I'd buy flowers and a birthday cake to celebrate her birthday when both of us are home.

  11. Peter tabs his YouTube channel and copies the link of his Happy Birthday song.

  12. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I believe my Happy Birthday song sounds and means better than the kindergarten one.

  13. Peter sends his message, attaching the link to his wife's Facebook account.

  14. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My wife is still sleeping, but I've to begin my day now.

  15. Act 2

  16.

  17. INT. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL - 09:00

  18. Peter swims laps, his movements fluid.

  19. PETER (V.O): I'm anticipating what would actually happen today.

  20. INT. FLOWER CORNER - 10:00

  21. Peter scans the colourful arrangements.

  22. PETER (V.O): Where have all the roses gone?

  23. His eyes land on a radiant sunflower.

  24. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Sunflowers evoke feeling of warmth. They symbolize loyalty and adoration.

  25. Peter takes the sunflower and pays.

  26. INT. CAKE SHOP - 10:15

  27. Holding a sunflower, Peter scans the cakes on display.

  28. PETER (V.O): A small cake would do, just two of us.

  29. Peter selects a strawberry souffle cake and pays.

  30. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I love this cake shop, as my elder daughter got her first working experience here.

  31. With the cake in hand too, Peter looks satisfied.

  32. INT. STUDIO - 11:00

  33. Strumming his guitar, Peter sings catchy songs, a focused look on his face.

  34. PETER (V.O): I spent lots of efforts in writing them, but few have heard them.

  35. Pausing.

  36. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And so, I'll sing them to entertain those who have been supporting me later today.

  37. INT. STUDY - 11:30

  38. Smartphone in hand, Peter maintains his Duolingo streaks in seven languages.

  39.  PETER (V.O): I'm learning something new in each streak.

  40. Then, Peter sees an incoming mail notification.

  41. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): That's the unfinished business I want to complete.

  42. Having reviewed a lengthy draft, Peter signs it electronically and issues it with a satisfied nod.

  43. INT. CONFERENCE ROOM, HKUST - 16:45

  44. STAFF are busy testing the audio-visual equipment as Peter appears with his guitar.

  45. PETER: While you work, I'll sing you my songs.

  46. AH PO claps to the beats as Peter sings "Do Good for You and Me" and "HKUST". Soon, Committee MEMBERS and the CHAIR arrive.

  47. PETER (V.O): I plan to sing them before the meeting...OMG, it's already on the hour and I don't want my passion to intervene with the Committee's business.

  48. Then, the CHAIR whispers to Peter, pointing at the Agenda.

  49. CHAIR: As this is your last Committee meeting, would you like to say something at AOB?

  50. PETER (V.O): Instead of saying something, I'd seize the opportunity to sing my "HKUST" song.

  51. Peter nods as the Committee begin to transact its business. Peter makes his last contribution.

  52. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I can't help to share my idea, even though I won't be able to follow through.

  53. Act 3

  54.

  55. INT. LIVING ROOM - 21:30

  56.

  57. Peter inserts an AI drawing titled: "Sunflowers and Songs..." to a draft on his laptop.

  58.

  59. PETER (V.O): In the field of sunflowers, every bloom resonates like a note in nature's symphony... My songs are raw but real.

  60. Thinking.

  61.

  62. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Just like a sunflower to face the sun, let my heart embrace my songs that lift me and inspire others...Many colleagues use their smartphone cameras to capture my performance.

  63. Reflecting.

  64.

  65. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Each sunflower stands tall, much like a chorus that elevates the hearts of its audience... Judging from the responses of my audience, I've achieved that.

  66. FADE OUT

  67.

  68. THE END
