  2. Act 1


  3. EXT. GOLDEN COAST - DAY (A few months ago)


  4. Swimming, PETER sees a SWIMMER towing an orange swim bubble behind him.


  5. PETER (V.O.): He's swimming safely. The water here can be quite rough and there isn't any floating platforms.


  6. Pausing.


  7. PETER (VO.) (Cont'd): Should I try it? Where to buy it?


  8. INT. SITTING ROOM - DAY (A month ago)


  9. Peter shows his WIFE an image of a cyber-green swim bubble.


  10. PETER: When you do taobao (淘宝), please include this item for me.


  11. A week later. Peter's wife shows him an e-message.


  12. WIFE: Your swim bubble has arrived.


  13. Act 2


  14. EXT. SILVERSTRAND BEACH - DAY (A fortnight ago)


  15. Peter swims from one floating platform to another.


  16. PETER (V.O.): The floating platforms are pretty close to the beach. I don't think I need any safety support.


  17. Pausing.


  18. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And I don't want to add unnecessary drag to my swim.


  19. INT. STUDY - Day (Today)


  20. Unwrapping his cyber-green swim bubble, Peter attaches a belt to the bubble handle before blowing air into the nozzle to inflate it.


  21. PETER (V.O.): OK, I'll test it fully in the waters of Golden Beach!


  22. EXT. GOLDEN BEACH - LATER


  23. Having buckled the belt attaching to the fully-inflated swim bubble, Peter swims towards the outer limits of the orange buoy lines.

  24. PETER (V.O.): I've got to used to wearing my mobile buoy while swimming.


  25. Peter rolls over in the water to check the buoyancy of his swim bubble.


  26. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This medium-sized swim bubble with 10kg buoyancy is good enough for any adult.


  27. Pausing.


  28. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I chose cyber green so that it isn't identical or confusing similar to the orange buoy lines.


  29. Peter swims frog style, but he kicks the swim bubble.


  30. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is what I've anticipated. I won't wear it unless I want to swim far away from the shore.


  31. Pausing.


  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But I feel as if I'm swimming with my pet at my legs.


  33. SEQUENCE OF PETER'S ANALOGY


  34. A. Bedroom at night. Kaji, the family pet, is sleeping between Peter's legs.


  35. B. When Peter tosses and turns, he kicks Kaji a little.


  36. C. Kaji doesn't react to Peter's gentle kicks as if Peter is just petting her.

  37. END SEQUENCE


  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Right now, I'm swimming with the waves so the swim bubble isn't exactly behind me.


  39. Swimming ahead.


  40. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): See what happens on my return leg when I swim against the waves.


  41. Reaching the orange buoy line at the other end later, Peter swims freestyle against the waves.


  42. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I feel that the swim bubble is right behind me and can avoid kicking it.


  43. Pausing.


  44. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Although there's a little drag to my swim, I feel very safe. I don't need to check my position.


  45. Thinking.


  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The body of the female Senior Police Inspector who fell into the sea when her boat was capsized last Saturday was found yesterday morning.


  47. Pausing.


  48. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): One doesn't drown by falling into the water. One drowns by staying there...


  49. Pausing.


  50. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Like many others, the incident has saddened my wife and me.


  51. Peter takes a look of the sea beyond the swimming area.


  52. Act 3


  53. EXT. GOLDEN COAST - CONTINUOUS


  54. Carrying his swim bubble, Peter gets back to the beach to pick up his mobile to take a shot.


  55. PETER (V.O.): This is my first experience swimming with my own safety buoy.


  56. Peter deflates the swim bubble.


  57. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): With it, my new horizon is that I can lose sight of the shore.


  58. Pausing.


  59. PETER (V.O.): As life is at stake, I've to swim safer.


  60. FADE OUT.
