FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. DINING ROOM - MORNING
Sharing breakfast with the family pet, PETER drinks a cup of hot tea.
PETER (V.O.): I used not to drink tea. I believe it's stronger stimulant than coffee. I want to sleep well.
Drinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Several months ago, my wife lured me to try the Japanese tea we brought back from Japan. Since then, I've been having tea, irrespective of its origin.
INT. ESTATE CAR PARK#1 - LATER
Inside a blue Mercedes, PETER adjusts the driver seat and mirrors.
PETER (V.O.): My wife drove it on the last occasion. I asked her to do so as she hasn't driven it for a long time. She likes to drive her agile New Beetle.
Twisting the ignition key, Peter starts the car.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since we've been using this car regularly, its delayed ignition problem has gone away by itself.
Driving to the exit.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife drives to work if she can park for free. Tuesday is the only day that I'd drive her to work.
Raining.
Act 2
INT. GOVERNMENT OFFICE CAR PARK - LATER
Peter's WIFE gets out of the car.
PETER (V.O.): I'll go refilling it. Then I'll drive my Eunos 30X to Shek O.
INT. ESTATE CAR PARK#2 - LATER
Peter is inside a silver coupe.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, whatever I touch, it's mouldy. I haven't driven it for a fortnight only.
Wearing a hat, Peter cleans the interior and washes the exterior of his coupe at a washing area.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel my stomach churning. But there's no toilet nearby. I've to hang on until I arrive at the beach later.
EXT. SHEK O PUBLIC CAR PARK - LATER
Peter parks his coupe inside a slot.
PETER (V.O.): Today is supposed to be a typhoon day.
Carrying a red bag, Peter rushes to the beach toilet.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I didn't go to the toilet after a cup of tea this morning.
EXT. SHEK O BEACH - LATER
Waves crashing to shore. We hear: ... surfers shouldn't surf inside the swimming area...
PETER (V.O.): The water is rough. I've practised that at Golden Coast Beach.
Peter swims against the waves.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Choppy, but cool.
Peter swims with the waves.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's pretty easy to swim back to shore.
Peter sees the beach clock displaying 35 degrees Celsius.
INT. THAI RESTAURANT - NOON
Peter is enjoying soup, Thai noodles and coffee.
PETER (V.O.): Phuket has just reopen. Shek O is nice too. I don't have to fly and can drive here.
EXT. ROADS - AFTERNOON
Driving.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, I've the urge to go to the toilet now...
SEQUENCE OF WHAT HAPPENS TO PETER AFTERWARDS
A. Peter changes cars at Estate Car Park#2.
B. Waiting before traffic lights, Peter looks very impatient.
C. Hurriedly, Peter parks his blue Mercedes in Estate Car Park#1.
D. Wearing a very uncomfortable look, Peter runs towards the Estate Clubhouse.
END SEQUENCE
INT. WATER CLOSET - CONTINUOUS
Inside, Peter looks relieved.
'PETER (V.O.): I don't think I could hang on for another second.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):The nice coffee has caused my diarrhea.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - LATER
Peter wakes up from a nap.
IPETER (V.O.): Now, I reckon if I don't have any work pressure, neither tea nor coffee would stimulate me if I'm tired.
INT. DINING ROOM - NIGHT
Peter and his wife are having dinner.
PETER (V.O.): I still don't take any tea or coffee hours before going bed.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While there's always time for tea or coffee, I must manage time better after either tea or coffee.
