INT. STUDY - 10:30
PETER is researching and drafting something.
PETER (V.O.): I've done a lot. I'll reward myself with a second breakfast with my family.
INT. SITTING ROOM - 11.30
The FAMILY are having McDonalds'.
WIFE: I'm going out to do facial.
PETER: Shall we have tea break together?
WIFE: I don't need anything until dinner.
PETER (V.O.): What should I do then? Continue doing my professional work?
As his wife leaves home, Peter goes to the study.
Act 2
INT. STUDY - 12:00
The window view captures Peter's attention. He takes photos of two boats in the harbour.
PETER (V.O.): I don't have a boat. But I've got an inspiration.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On such a nice day, I shouldn't work at home. I should go to the beach.
EXT. CAFETERIA NEW BEACH - 12:45
Getting out of his car, Peter is pleased to see the beach is open.
PETER (V.O.): It was still shut on April Fools Day.
In swimming gears, Peter tests the beach water.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The water temperature is fine with me.
Peter begins to swim.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): First time to swim in a bay this year.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The beaches in Hong Kong were closed in 2020.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's so comfortable in the sea water. The water quality isn't bad.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The last time I swam overseas was in Miyakojima in August 2019.
Having done all the swimming styles, Peter leaves.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me now go back to my NT home to continue fixing it.
INT. PETER'S NT HOME - 13:30 - 19:30
Terrace, 2/F.
PETER (V.O): Some cement plaster have fallen off. Now's the time to fix it.
Having mixed white cement powder with water with his hands, Peter uses the cement to fix the fallen-off part.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't have any equipment. But I want to do it before the rainy season.
Peter checks his cement plaster work.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Should be Okay.
Study, 1/F.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me continue re-fixing the peeled-off wallpapers here.
After breaking a chopstick, Peter uses his hand to apply the white adhesive on the wallpapers.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Using my hand is swifter.
Peter works and works. The study looks better than before.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, my hands have become very uncomfortable - the effect of cement powder or white adhesive? I'm very tired too.
After washing his hands, Peter leaves.
INT. STUDY - 20:30
Peter checks his smart phone.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, in the morning, my son asked me if it's OK for him to come home for dinner tonight!
Act 3
INT. DINING ROOM - 21:00
Peter is having dinner with FAMILY.
PETER (V.O.): If I checked my messages earlier, my son should be joining us now.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've had a creative and productive day. But I just want to have the best of both worlds.
INT. STUDY - 21:30
Peter researches and drafts something again.
PETER (V.O.) : I've re-read an appeal case that I dealt with. And I've got an inspiration.
Peter types on his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd) :Yes, I'm now reasonably pleased with my rough draft.
