  11. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The subjects I must take were Logic & Methodology, Epistemology, Ethics and History of Philosophy.

  12. Recalling.

  13. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): The "Study Guide" suggested that I had to master Logic & Methodology first. So I studied the subject seriously.

  20. Pausing.

  21. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): In a more general sense, survivorship bias can be in various domains, such as business, career advice, historical analysis and investing.

  22. Pausing.

  23. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): In investing, survivorship bias can occur when one analyzes the performance of a particular stock market index or a group of mutual funds without considering the stocks and funds that have failed and no longer exist.

  24. Pausing.

  25. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): By focusing only on the surviving entities, people may get a distorted perspective of the overall performance or success rate.

  26. Pausing.

  27. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Survivorship bias can lead to flawed conclusions because it ignores the crucial information provided by the failures or non-survivors.

  28. Pausing.

  29. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): By neglecting the full dataset, people may overlook important factors or characteristics that contributed to the failures or non-survivors.

  30. Pausing.

  31. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): This can result in skewed perceptions, inaccurate assessments, and poor decision-making.

  32. Pausing.

  33. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Logic provides a framework for rational thinking and decision-making. It teaches me how to analyze arguments, evaluate evidence, and draw valid conclusions.

  34. Pausing.

  35. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): By learning Logic, I can develop critical thinking skills to make more informed and reasoned judgments in various aspects of life.

  36. Pausing.

  37. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Logic helps me to express my thoughts and ideas in a clear and coherent manner. By understanding logical principles, I can structure arguments, identify fallacies, and present my viewpoints in a way that is understandable and persuasive to others.

  38. Pausing.

  45. Contemplating.

  46. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): I've been a chosen recipient. Many others are excluded.

  47. Recalling.

  48. PETER (V.O)(Cont'd): Through the weathering of time, many traditions have become obsolete.

  49. Pondering.

  55. Thinking.

  56. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): While rational thinking is important, there's also the need to embrace the joy, love and connections that tradition brings to my life.

  57. Pausing.
