Act 1
EXT. ROADS - DAY
PETER in his green New Beetle arrives at a car-testing centre.
PETER (V.O): Those serving me for the past two days might be shocked to find that I'm here again - three in a row.
STAFF#1 greets Peter as he steps out of the car.
PETER: Car testing.
STAFF#1: I'll lead you to the reception.
PETER: It's alright. I've been here and know my way.
INT. RECEPTION - DAY
STAFF#2 works on something. Staff#3 & #4 serve Peter.
PETER (V.O.): Staff#2 took my appointment calls. Staff#3 is responsible for payment. Staff#4 is a new face.
STAFF#4: The car testing may take more than 30 minutes. Just enjoy yourself at the waiting room.
Peter nods.

INT. WAITING ROOM - LATER
Sipping a cup of coffee, Peter reads a magazine on a sofa.
PETER (V.O.): Here, the coffee is nice and the magazines are new.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Before its re-opening a week ago, I went to another car-testing centre to test my 25-year old Eunos 30X.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The drinks wasn't as good, and the magazines were one year old.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): There wasn't any service. I had difficulty to drive away my car. The experience was unpleasant.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I was so pleased that this brand's car testing centre has reopened. I have frequented its service for many years.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For the past two days, I've got two cars tested as roadworthy.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In fact, I don't have to do three in a row, as the New Beetle licence won't expire until Jan 2021.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But as a loyal customer, I'd do my repeated purchases without hesitation.
The TV reports that Hong Kong begins to feel the 4th wave of COVID-19 infection.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Nature's way can be very disruptive.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Months ago, I'd to make an advance appointment with the Transport Department before I could renew my SMART's registration licence.
STAFF#5 appears with a transparent L-shape sheet protector with sheets inside.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can see my New Beetle's registration licence and the roadworthy certificate. Three in a row. Great!
STAFF#5 presents Peter with the stuff.
STAFF#5: The sheet protector is also for you.
PETER: Thank you!
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Little things make great difference.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I didn't get the free sheet protector yesterday and the day before yesterday.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Not only to be good, they want to do better.
STAFF#5 (Kindly): It seems that your car can be better maintained. Go to a repairer and check it out. Your car might not pass the test next time.
Peter nods.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is value-added advisory service to the customer. That's why I love the service of this car-testing centre.
At an exit, Peter collects his New Beetle.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The co-ordinated service demonstrates very good teamwork. I can feel that.
Act 3
EXT. ROADS - LATER
Peter in his New Beetle moves swiftly.
PETER (V.O.): Having had a long day last Tuesday, I've had three happy days in a row.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I've got three clean bills of health of three cars manufactured in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In those years, I contained my desire by buying one new car a year. The last one I bought was the SMART in 2003.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Since then, I've been hoarding them. And I could have the unique experience of testing my old cars three in a row. I'll go again for my other cars early next year.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do I enjoy it?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I feel good that they're still reasonably healthy. I've to act responsibly towards them.
Peter in his New Beetle arrives at a car repairer.
FADE OUT.
