Act 1
Rubbing his eyes, PETER wakes up.
PETER (V.O): It's still dark. What time is it?
Peter checks the bedside clock and sees 04:45
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've slept just two full cycles. Should I get up and study foreign languages?
Peter lies still in bed.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): If I do that, I might feel very tired later in the day.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Waking up briefly between cycles is common. See if I can return to sleep again.
At 08:45, Peter wakes up again.
Act 2
EXT. MTR CABIN - 09:30
Peter has eyes focusing on his mobile screen.
PETER (V.O.): Let me place my stock trade order now. I've a meeting at 10am.
Peter taps an App for trading securities.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Yesterday, I sold 1000 shares of a stock at $13.28, the highest price. Today, let me try to sell another 1000 shares at 13:80.
Peter confirms his order.
INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - 09:55
A COMMITTEE. Peter sits near the screen.
PETER (V.O): I want to see clearly.
WILSON comes to join Peter.
WILSON: Let me sit next to you!
PETER (V.O): He was a CFO of a big company. We share travel information from time to time...
Later, we see Peter and Wilson asking for the floor and make observations.
INT. TIM HO WAN, ICC - 13:30
Mobile by his side, Peter is enjoying a relaxed dim sum lunch.
PETER (V.O): Oh, my trade order has been executed. My late Dad used to say that cash is king.
Observing the environment.
PETER (V.O): I haven't come here for three months now. It's a surprise that I don't have to wait for my seat.
Peter sees some vacant seats.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): For the first time, I don't have to share a table with another customer...But the quality of the dim sum and the prices haven't changed.
Peter then sees a notice.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): If I like the restaurant's page in social media, I can get a free dessert?
Peter does it without delay.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've even written a good review and postscripts about it. Incidentally, my stuff in Google Maps have attracted over 102 million views!
EXT. STATUE SQUARE, CENTRAL - 14:15
Walking towards the Hong Kong Club Building, Peter checks his emails.
PETER (V.O): Oh, I've Nick's blessing and have become a panelist of AALCO.
INT. BUSINESS SCHOOL, HKUST - 15:30
Peter is being interviewed by a consultant Q.
PETER: Q, I believe the economy will be based neither on knowledge nor creativity, and innovation, but on IP...
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): Despite the many challenges, I'm still pursuing my dream to transform Hong Kong into an international IP trading hub...
INT. STUDY - 18:30
Mobile in hand, Peter practises Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Japanese and Korean.
PETER (V.O): It's very heavy-going...but I want to accomplish my mission today.
Finally, Peter smiles tiringly.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've moved up to #1 in Duolingo's Emerald League!
Act 3
INT. BEDROOM - 22:15
Peter inserts an AI drawing entitled "Twilight Triumphs ..." to a draft.
PETER (V.O): As I enter the twilight of my life, I still have my ambition and energy.
Seeing a friend's WhatsApp message, Peter replies promptly.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I actively engage my friends, my work...Over dinner, my wife complained to me about Govt bureaucracy mistreating her and our elder daughter.
Reflecting.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I still have the courage to dare things, to enjoy triumphs or to suffer setbacks.
