PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The IWD 2024 campaign theme is "Inspire Inclusion"

PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world.
Reading.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance and empowerment.

PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Everyone everywhere can support IWD.
Act 2
INT. BUSINESS SCHOOL, HKUST - 09:20
A woman RECEPTIONIST is chatting with Peter.
RECEPTIONIST: Have you done your swimming?
PETER: No, I'll swim after the meeting. But I've already done some intellectual exercises.
RECEPTIONIST: What have you done?
PETER: I've explored the underrepresentation of women in entrepreneurship.
The receptionist looks curious.
PETER (Cont'd): The main reasons are stereotypes and implicit bias on women's abilities and leadership potential.
Pausing.
PETER (Cont'd): For women having caregiving responsibilities, it's particularly hard for them to run demanding and time-consuming businesses.
RECEPTIONIST: I agree entirely.
EXT. STREETS - 16:45
Crowded. A wet-haired Peter's gaze wanders what's unfolding before him. A sight catches his attention.
PETER (V.O): Oh dear...
We see a MOTHER pushing a wheelchaired-bound young BOY.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I can see her eyes are filled with unwavering love.
Observing discreetly.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I can imagine the challenges they face on a daily basis.
They go past Peter.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The fleeting encounter reminds me of human's capacity to endure hardship.
INT. STUDY - 17:30
Surfing the web, Peter reads something interesting.
PETER (V.O): What's the concept of "Scientific Eve" or "Mitochondrial Eve"?

PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): It refers to the most recent common ancestor of all living humans through the maternal line.
