FADE IN.
Act 1
INT. BUSINESS SCHOOL, HKUST - MORNING
Victoria Harbour scenic view. By a coffee machine, PETER press the Mocha button.
PETER: (V.O.): In morning meetings, I enjoy the view and the free drinks here.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're the perks of doing volunteering work for HKUST.
Seeing a helicopter flying across the harbour, Peter takes snapshots of it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I was a JP, the occasional perk was taking free helicopter rides from the Wanchai heliport to Lantau prisons and return.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): For decades, I was a salaried Government employee creating public value. I was always thinking of public institutional development so that I could create public value.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And now, I've been helping out to advance HKUST's institutional development so that it can sustain itself as an academic cum entrepreneurial value centre.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - LATER
PARTICIPATNTS including Peter are attending in person or via Zoom. ALUMNI#1 (30's) is presenting with visual aids in person.
PETER (V.O.) : He's an entrepreneurial beekeeper. His business model is so eco-friendly.
STAFF#1 presents to the in-person participants with a bottle of raw honey in a small carrier bag.
ALUMNI#1: The lychee monofloral honey is unique in Hong Kong.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's right. I've lychee trees in my old home. My NT home is at Lychee Road.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Honey is low in water and high in sugar. Bacteria can't grow on it.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've watched a documentary reporting that honey found in 3000-year old Egyptian tombs was perfectly edible.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've honey pretty regularly.
Brewing some coffee on the conference table, ALUMNI#2 (40's) is presenting.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He's a "sensory artisan". One of the things he does is to play the role as a World Coffee Judge.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've never thought about developing a career in smell or taste.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Not only that, he's coupling coffee with technology. That's groundbreaking - so entrepreneurial.
STAFF#2 passes cups of freshly brewed coffee to participants. Peter sips it right away.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It smells and tastes very different from the Mocha that I've just had.
Shrugging.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm in no objective position to judge though.
Peter takes a look of participants via Zoom.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's also a shame that the informational technology only supports audio and visual, but not touch, taste and smell.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He has also got a strategy to break into the target customer segments.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When I thought about my entrepreneurial endeavours in 2017, I could only do those that I had the capacity to do eg consultancy especially in the field.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But when I found that my revenue streams weren't that visible and tangible, coupled with the advice from my wealth manager, I re-strategized to re-focus on what I could do best.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My obstacle was that as a young old, I couldn't afford to take financial risks even at the beginning of my endeavours.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):I reckoned that I'd have something to loose in the middle and in the end.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As a result, I was an "entrepreneur" for just 6 months!
Taking a deep breath, Peter takes a photo of the raw honey and the coffee prepared by a World Coffee Judge.
Act 3.
INT. BUSINESS SCHOOL - CONTINUOUS
Conference ends. Holding the bottles of raw honey and cups of coffee, the participants have a photo session.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd):They deserve the endorsement.
After chatting with alumni#1 and #2, Peter exits to the lift lobby.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): From zero to hero is the coffee judge's goal. I see from the name card of the beekeeper a nice quote...
Peter surfs the web with his phone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's from Victor Hugo: Life is the flower for which love is the honey.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're trendsetters. The impact they make help build the reputation of HKUST.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What I can help promote academic and entrepreneurship institutional development is to propagate the vision and mission of HKUST, and the success stories of alumni.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let it be the theme of my blog post today.
FADE OUT.
