Kaji: Something Great!

Act 1

INT. DINING ROOM - MORNING

Sniffing his bags, KAJI welcomes PETER home.

KAJI (V.O.): I smell bread.

Having placed the bags on the table, Peter exits.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd):Nobody's here, except me.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm duty-bound to guard them.

Kaji jumps onto a dining chair and sits.

Act 2

INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): This is Peter's seat - full of his aroma.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): As her "wing-girl", I feel honourable to take his position.

Kaji sees Peter and the PACK LEADER joining her.

PETER: Oh, you've got my seat!

KAJI (V.O.): I know I'll get Peter's attention. Would he remove me from the best seat here?

After capturing the moment with his smart phone, Peter wonders where to sit.

PACK LEADER: You take the piano seat then.

Peter obliges.

KAJI (V.O.): I believe they know I want some breakfast too.

Unpacking the bags, the Pack Leader places Kaji's share in front of her.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): She'll ask me to perform "Ching Ching"...

PACK LEADER: Do "Ching, Ching"!

Standing upright with her hind legs and balancing herself with her hands three times, Kaji earns her reward.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): The treat isn't great though.

Kaji watches Peter and the Pack Leader eating to their hearts' content.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Can I have some more, please?

PACK LEADER: "Ching. Ching" again!

Kaji obliges.

PACK LEADER: Yes, again!

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): She loves to see me staying unsteady.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Have I achieved something great after all?

ACT 3

INT. DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Peter then shows Kaji the image he has just taken.

KAJI (V.O.)(Cont'd): Is that me?

Thinking.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): What's the significance of that?

Pondering.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is Peter telling others that I'm in the right place at the right time?

Kaji takes a look at Peter.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I must have done something great!

FADE OUT.
