Kaji: Up, Up And Away

FADE IN.

Act 1

INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT

KAJI looks perplexed.

KAJI (V.O.): Are we going out again?

FLASHBACK

INT. PET GARDEN - DAY

Kaiji is engaging her FRIENDS. A GANG MEMBER is watching them from a distance.

END FLASHBACK.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps, I've a special mission this time.

EXT. ROAD - NIGHT

Extending her head out of the passenger-side window, Kaji sniffs the air and stares at the sky.

KAJI (V.O.): The scent around is unfamiliar. I wish I could fly up to the sky.

INT. CRUISE TERMINAL CAR PARK - NIGHT

Kaji, the PACK LEADER and PETER get out of their car.

ACT 2

INT. CRUISE TERMINAL CAR PARK - CONTINUOUS

They look around.

KAJI (V.O.): This place is huge. I've never been here.

Pausing.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can detect the smells of other dogs along the road. Let me take the lead.

Kaji finds the way.

A beat.

Waiting at a lift lobby, they see a door opening.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Should we get in?

PETER & PACK LEADER : Step inside.

After their stepping in, the door closes. Kaji is circling around.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): It seems that we're being trapped inside this rectangular capsule.

Kaji sees things around her moving up.

KAJI (V.O.): What's happening?

We hear Peter and the pack leader talking: The first time she takes a lift nearly all by herself!

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, the door opens again by itself.

Peter & PACK LEADER : Get out now.

Kaji gets out.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've a hunch what we'll do next would be adventurous.

They walk faster and faster.

EXT. RUNWAY PET GARDEN - NIGHT

The party arrive at the entrance.

KAJI (V.O.): Here we're! The strip is huge and long.

We see a big sign "13" on the ground and an aircraft in the vicinity.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh my wings are ready. My dream can take flight!

As Kaji eyes turn skyward, FRIENDS come over to greet her.

Later, as a flashing ball is being thrown in the air, they begin chasing and jumping at it.

Kaji: I'm taxiing. Do I have permission to take off?

PETER: Shall we let go her leash?

PACK LEADER: Don't know if she'd runaway for good...you've to chase her.

PETER: We've to train her anyway.

Peter lets go the leash as they approach the aircraft.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Romeo, I'm taking off...up, up and away!

Kaji jumps up in the air again and again.

Act 3

EXT. CRUISE TERMINAL PET GARDEN - NIGHT.

Kaji is leading Peter. The pack leader is far behind.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having tasted flight and landed, we'll get our car home. I know where it is.

INT. SITTING ROOM - NIGHT

Kaji is resting in the sofa.

KAJI (V.O.) (Cont'd): Having touched the sky, my soul is still there.

Kaji looks out of the window.

FADE OUT.
