PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They're so inviting.
Peter holds one phone in one hand and another phone in another.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I don't intend to buy anything. I ensure my hands won't disobey me.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It'll be a nightmare if I picked up something unconsciously and didn't pay...
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The defendants in the two theft cases I prosecuted were women. They spent a lot of money to hire lawyers to defend their cases.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): One gave me the opportunity to cross-exam a medical expert as old as me. And I enjoyed that.
Recalling.

As he waits near his car, Peter sees TRAFFIC WARDENS#1 & 2 approaching, checking the meters.
PETER (V.O.): While they're strangers to me, I believe they're the colleagues of one of the theft defendants.
Noting the parking time of the one behind Peter's car has expired, TRAFFIC WARDEN#1 books that car.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me now learn the other functions of HKeMeter App.
Peter reads his phone screen.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, apart from expiry notices, I can pay remotely!
INT. MEDICAL CENTRE CORRIDOR - LATER
Peter stands waiting, extending the parking time with his phone from time to time.
PETER (V.O.): Because of COVID, they only allow one accompanying person.

PETER (V.O.): Oh, I've already done 16,038 steps today. My legs deserve some rest. I'll just be the best I can be.
Peter makes a call.
PETER (To phone): Is the estate swimming pool opening tomorrow?
SOMEONE (From phone): Yes, at 7am.
Peter then touches his handbag.
PETER (V.O.): The car key is still with me. Let me drive the car to the petrol filling station to quench its thirst.
