  1. FADE IN.

  2. Act 1

  3. INT. STUDY - DAY

  4. PETER is watching a TED talk on TV.

  5. PETER (V.O.): Can science answer moral questions?

  6. Pausing.

  7. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Can an "ought" be derived from an "is"?

  8. Thinking.

  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): To assert what is good or bad is a fact. But the fact that such an assertion is made doesn't tell the truth/falsehood of what is good/bad.

  10. The talk ends.

  11. PETER (V.O.): Let me revalue the conventional value assumptions.

  12. Thinking.

  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's a fact that humans aren't born equal in their abilities. Their nurture are different. Thus, their traits aren't the same.

  14. Pausing.

  15. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Some behave more rational than others.

  16. Pausing.

  17. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): On morality, those who don't have analytical skills can be easily conditioned by conventional morality.

  18. Pausing.

  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): They may even turn themselves against the instinct of life - against good sense or judgment.

  20. Act 2

  21. INT. STUDY - CONTINUOUS

  22. Thinking.

  23. PETER (V.O.): There are some who want to excel eg having a unifying project in life.

  24. Pausing.

  25. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): What unifies my life project has been my discipline to capture, create and deliver value.

  26. Pausing.

  27. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My goal is to achieve what I can achieve in my lifespan, linking the historical past with the future.

  28. Pausing.

  29. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I admit that I'm oblivious to petty concerns that occupy others or the herd. Eg only upon repeated urges did I make a claim under government's Cash Payout Scheme.

  30. Pausing.

  31. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The herd can be overwhelmed by the harsh reality. In Hong Kong, competition is always keen.

  32. Peter reads the philosophy of Nietzsche on his phone screen.

  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He observes that the herd envy those who don't suffer as much as they do.

  34. Reading.

  35. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Thus, the herd band together under whatever excuses for communal power, wanting to bring down elites to their mediocre level.

  36. Reading.

  37. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As Nietzsche puts it, such a herd or slave morality is like saying: "I'm declining" and "all of you ought to decline with me".

  38. Reading.

  39. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Herd or slave morality inverts the natural value of life, and deems the elites' value as evil. The herd judge theirs as good.

  40. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In short, they're the morality themselves.

  41. Pausing.

  42. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Instead of changing the society for the better, the herd provoke its destruction, as a compensation for their incompetence.

  43. Reading.

  44. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When they fail to accomplish what they desire to do, they react angrily like: "If I cannot have something, no one can have anything, and no one can be anything."

  45. Peter puts his hand over his mouth.

  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The philosophical explanation accurately predicts the recent Hong Kong sub-culture.

  47. Pausing.

  48. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And that's why Nietzsche says morality can be the danger of all dangers.

  49. Act 3

  50. INT. SWIMMING POOL - DAY

  51. Peter looks preoccupied.

  52. PETER (V.O.): The effects of such a type of herd or slave morality have to be lessened.

  53. Pausing.

  54. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Everything is learnable. Everyone can learn to become smart.

  55. INT. STUDY - NIGHT

  56. Watching TV, Peter is thinking.

  57. PETER (V.O.): What's constant is change. With the advance of information and communication technology, the present world is changing fast and humans can learn fast too.

  58. Pausing.

  59. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): With the support of artificial intelligence, expertise on moral questions of what is good for a person's well being and the society at large can be thoroughly researched, updated, programmed, developed, and therefore answered.

  60. Pausing.

  61. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And the danger of all dangers to the world can be prevented.

  62. Pausing.

  63. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): More importantly, the common heritage of all humankind in time-space can be maintained and sustained.

  64. Nodding.

  65. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Science can produce moral answers these days.

  66. THE END

  67. FADE OUT.
