  7. PETER (Cont'd): The assassin might have missed his first shot.

  8. They see on screen that after the first smoke, Shinzo Abe was still standing for about two seconds. When he reacted by turning his head, he was shot a second time and began to fall.

  9. PETER (Cont'd): He knew he was shot at the back from behind.

  10. They see on screen another clip featuring the SUSPECT.

  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The suspect has been looking for opportunities. His feelings must have been deeply injured for long.

  13. Act 2

  14. INT. SITTING ROOM - 15:00

  15. Peter is watching a TV episode: The Good Doctor. We see a shooting scene.

  16. PETER (V.O.): Oh, what a co-incidence.

  17. On screen, we see scenes inside an emergency operational theatre.

  18. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): How do doctors handle gunshot wounds?

  19. On screen, we see doctors trying to stop the injured person from bleeding.

  20. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Can doctors prevent gunshot wounds from being deadly?

  21. On screen, we see graphics on emergency vital signs monitors.

  22. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe chest wounds that injure the heart and lung can be deadly.

  23. Pausing.

  24. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Is it possible to suspend life and death of gunshot patients?

  25. Peter researches with his smart phone.

  26. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Oh, there's a technique called "preservation and resuscitation" via induced hypothermia.

  27. Reading.

  28. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): When the heart stops beating, blood no longer carries oxygen to cells. The brain can only survive about 5 minutes without oxygen.

  29. Reading.

  30. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): At lower temperatures, cells need less oxygen because all chemical reactions slow down.

  31. Reading.

  32. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Using ice packs and by circulating blood through an external cooling system can lower the body temperatures of gunshot patients.

  33. Reading.

  34. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The technique can give surgeons up to 45 minutes in which to stop blood flow and fix the structural injuries.

  35. Reading.

  36. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But slow cooling isn't an option for traumatic gunshot injuries.

  37. Reading.

  38. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Due to extreme blood loss, doctors have only minutes to stop the bleeding and restart the heart.

  39. Reading.

  40. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Now, I understand the media reports about Shinzo Abe's lack of vital signs but wasn't declared dead until hours later.

  41. We see on TV screen the gunshot patient is waking up in a ward.

  42. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's drama.

  43. Recalling.

  44. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I can't forget the facts of case of dangerous driving causing death in Yuen Long.

  45. Pausing.

  46. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): The victim in her 20s was walking home along the pedestrian pavement but was knocked dead instantly by a lorry from behind.
