PETER (V.O.): Why am I keeping this?

PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I see the date of its publication.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I couldn't foresee that was the date of my last travel since 2020.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Would others' notice it?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Should one be watchful for something or someone?

FLASHBACK
INT. STUDY - 11:30
Peter checks emails.
PETER (V.O.): The panel's domain name decision will be issued shortly. This is the first time I've acted as the presiding panelist.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Apart from my co-panelists, I believe the complainant and the respondent have sharp eyes.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): I've a separate matter to deal with later today.
INT. INTERVIEW ROOM - 14:30
Through an INTERPRETER, Peter is talking to a CLIENT.
PETER (V.O.): I'll go back to chambers after this.
It's 16:30. An LIAISON OFFICER appears.
PETER: A few amendments are required.
The Liaison Officer begins to follow up. Later, some papers are tabled. Peter examines them.
PETER (V.O.): There's something wrong...
Checking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Yes. I'm right.
Peter then discusses with the Liaison Officer.
PETER: Let's just take it slow to ensure everything is in order.
They work on the papers with sharp eyes.
PETER: Done!
LIAISON OFFICER: It's my first case.
PETER: Don't worry. Everyone has her first experience.
EXT. ROADS - 18:30
Bus stop. Queuing, Peter checks his investment list on the smartphone screen.
PETER (V.O.): Oh, today's stock market continues to fall. I don't need sharp eyes to see my stocks are in the red.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Other than me, who would care?
Peter looks up at the dark sky.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Apart from my loved ones, who would care that I continue to exist?
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I'm not that visible, whether on earth or from above.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): In the end, life and death confine only in me.

INT. STUDY - 23:00
Peter takes another look at the old newspaper.
PETER (V.O.): Not many people have the strong ability to notice something or someone.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I believe sharp eyes can be nurtured.
Thinking.
PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): Sharp eyes are like microscopes/telescopes. They enable us to see something or someone more and closer.
Reading.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I've been keeping a sharp eye on my existence in universe, whether it has meaning or not.
Peter puts hands on head.
