As PETER and his WIFE step in, Kaji, the family pet, bounds toward them.
PETER: She's missing us.
Kaji's eyes sparkle with joy.
WIFE: We can't bring you snowflakes from Japan...
PETER (V.O.): I'm glad that our flights from Sapporo to Tokyo, and from Tokyo to Hong Kong all departed on schedule.
Kaji circles round their feet, her curled tails adds charm to her demeanour.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've a 9am meeting at HKUST and a 2pm meeting at the CAT office.
Peter bends down to give Kaji a gentle pet.
PETER: We only have a bag featuring your image from Sapporo.
Act 2
FLASHBACK
EXT. STREETS FROM SUSUKINO - ODORI, SAPPORO - 20:00 (10 Feb, 2025)
As gentle snowflakes cascade from the sky like delicate feathers, Peter and his wife stroll hand in hand.
PETER: The sight of the ice sculptures in Susukino signals the conclusion of our pursuit of snow festivals in Sapporo and Otaru.
Waking past a Kinko printing shop, they pause.
WIFE: Maybe we could have a bag featuring our family pet's image.
They enter the shop.
INT. RESTAURANT, KOKO HOTELS - 08:00 (11 Feb, 2025)
A buffet breakfast is laid out before Peter and his wife.
PETER (V.O): What a delightful feast for the second morning already.
Peter fills his plate with salads and nattos, glancing at his wife's choices.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): For our hotel stay, we only need the bed, not the breakfast.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Forgetting our flight schedules, my wife booked a three-night stay in Sapporo, even although we'd only be there for two nights and spend our final night in Tokyo.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Both the hotel she booked and the booking platform wouldn't allow her to change the check-out date.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Realizing we didn't want to waste one night's cost, she cancelled the booking done months ago and found last-minute vacancies in this hotel.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): And for just one more yen per person per day, we also get breakfast.
Smiling.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Originally, my wife asked me to eat it on her behalf,
Pausing.
PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Having checked it out yesterday morning, she won't miss it.
With their food and drinks, Peter and his wife go to sit in a cozy corner.
RETURN TO PRESENT
INT. BEDROOM - 16:00
Soft sunlight filters through the curtains. A tired Peter lies in bed, propped up against pillows.
PETER (V.O): I didn't know If I had slept before attending the 9am meeting...and then the 2pm meeting was advanced to 1pm to allow time for following through.
INT. LIVING ROOM - 17:30
In smart casual wear, Peter comes out from the bedroom to join his wife who is practicing Korean.
PETER: It's time we go to dinner together before your evening Korean class.
WIFE: Oh, not today! I'm terribly behind schedule, not having done much revision while enjoying snowflakes in Hokkaido.
INT. JAPANESE RESTAURANT - 19:30
Peter is having dinner alone.
PETER (V.O): While travelling, my wife and I eat together all the time.
We see a bittersweet expression forming on Peter's face.
Act 3
INT. LIVING ROOM - 21:00
Peter inserts an AI drawing titled: "Snowflakes and Schedules..." to a draft on his laptop.
PETER (V.O): Snowflakes symbolize beauty and traquality. Schedules are structured and stressful.

PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): There's tension between personal experiences and professional obligations.
