  3.

  4. INT. STUDY - 14:00

  5. Sitting in a sofa, PETER stares at his smartphone screen.

  6. PETER (V.O): Today is the sixth day of the Chinese New Year, and I've resumed working.

  7. Pausing.

  8. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I've created an AI-generated anime drawing, offering a fresh perspective of today.

  9. Pausing.

  10. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Ma from afar used to send me early New Year greetings...

  11. Recalling.

  12. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My nice tune titled "Thank You", sung in Putonghua only, was due to his inspiration.

  13. Pausing.

  14. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But I haven't heard from him for a year or two...Is he alright?

  15. Act 2

  16.

  17. INT. STUDY - CONTINUING

  18. Peter scrolls through his Google photos.

  19. PETER (V.O.): As a picture is worth a thousand words, I used to include my original photos in my blog posts.

  20. Peter deletes duplicated photos.

  21. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Photos capture real moments, making them powerful tools for documenting reality and evoking empathy.

  22. Pausing.

  23. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): But they're confined to what exists in the physical world.

  24. Peter deletes blurred photos.

  25. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Paintings are deeply personal expressions of the artist's emotions, thoughts and perspective.

  26. Pausing.

  27. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I envy Qi Baishi; as I don't have the artist's unique vision and skill.

  28. Pausing.

  29. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): When I had access to AI drawing bots, I first used them to generate impressionism art drawings.

  30. Pausing.

  31. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Soon, I found them repetitive, as they rely on patterns learned from existing data, apart from the lack of human touch.

  32. Pausing.

  33. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Believing anime AI drawings might appeal to a wider audience, I've been using them as my blogpost inserts.

  34. Pausing.

  35. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Yes, let me use my AI-generated drawing of today to greet Ma.

  36. Via WeChat, Peter sends the drawing to Ma.

  37. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I'll be a happy man if I hear his response.

  38. Soon, Peter gets an image with Ma's greetings.

  39. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): He's good...I can put my heart at ease.

  40. Then, Peter gets Ma's thumbs-up remark on his AI drawing: Your namecard is very beautiful.

  41. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): My namecard? It's his intepretation...let me explain.

  42. Peter types: This is an AI-drawing. My prompt is Kaigong daji, depicting a white haired, bespectacled man.

  43. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The character depicted is quite smart...

  44. Peter sees Ma's response: The character looks like you.

  45. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): You make my day!

  46. Later, Peter takes another look of the image sent by Ma.

  47. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The traditional artistic drawing depicts two white birds flying near a tree branch in a windy day.

  48. Pausing.

  49. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): What does the drawing mean?

  50. Discoverning small prints at the bottom left corner, Peter reads them carefully.

  51. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): The wind contains new ideas, and Spring brings birth to all things.

  52. Digesting.

  53. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): That's very helpful. Without it, I won't get the deep messages.

  54. Act 3

  55.

  56. INT. STUDY - 22:45

  57.

  58. Peter inserts an AI drawing titled: "The Heart of a Drawing..." to a draft on his laptop.

  59.

  60. PETER (V.O): Drawings carry deep emotional significance. AI drawings have cultural significance in the context of emerging modern technology.

  61. Thinking.

  62.

  63. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): Paintings, photos or AI drawings, are more than just visuals, there's an emotional heart embedded within each piece.

  64. Reflecting.

  65.

  66. PETER (V.O) (Cont'd): I cherish past experiences and friendships, as they shape who I'm and bring joy to my life.
