PETER works behind a computer.
PETER (V.O.): I try to prioritize what's on my schedule. Let me work out a second draft domain name decision before attending a meeting at HKUST.
INT. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, HKUST - 10:00
Peter is chatting with the SECRETARIAT.
PETER: The way all of you work reminds me of my days working in the Law Reform Commission secretariat.
Meeting. Peter reads a Powerpoint slide on a wall screen. Then he takes a look of a portrait hanging near it.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): That's Marvin Cheung, the immediate past council chair.
Recalling.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I engaged him once when I was briefing Executive Councillors on a Bill. I found him a positive and warm person.
Act 2
EXT. ENTRANCE PIAZZA, HKUST - 13:30
Using his hands to cover his eyes, Peter observes the sculpture entitled "Circle of Time".
PETER (V.O.): Using the sun's ray to tell time, the Sundial is one of humankind's earliest inventions.
Peter captures a photo of it.
INT. STUDY - 14: 30
Peter has just finished a telephone conversation.
PETER (V.O.): Surprise, I've got a new brief on human rights.
INT. RESTAURANT - 15:00
Having Wonton noodles and Red Bean Ice, Peter checks the numerals on his Investment List.
PETER (V.O.): Well, a rising market. Someone work for me while I'm not working for money.
INT. STUDY - 16:00
Checking a message, Peter looks a little unhappy.
PETER (V.O.): A client wants me to give priority to his probate case.
After some reading and researching, Peter engages in a lengthy conversation.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): A job is a job, even when I work in retirement.
INT. SWIMMING POOL - 20:00
Peter is swimming frog style.
PETER (V.O.): For over 40 years, I worked to live. I was so busy that I neglected making a good life.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Working used to be my a way to pay for a living.
Swimming freestyle.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My wife still has the impression that I'm a workaholic and would do anything.
Swimming.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But now, I don't have dark hair and I've back pain.
INT. SITTING ROOM - 21:00
Peter is in thoughts.
PETER (V.O.): When did Marvin Cheung pass away? He created lots of public value.
Peter researches with his smartphone.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): He died in Sept 2014, at the age of 67.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I ceased active service in 2014, and now I'm 67.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): It's time I rescheduled my priorities.
Act 3
INT. STUDY - 22:00
Watching TV at times, Peter types on this laptop.
PETER (V.O.): I won't refine my second draft domain name decision tonight.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I need to find time to create. It makes me feel good to be alive.
Peter continues creating.
INT. BEDROOM - 23:30
Peter takes a look of the bedside clock.
PETER (V.O.): The hands on the clock are my Sundial at night.
Pausing.
PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I take midnight as my balance between work and life.
Peter yawns a little.
