  3. EXT. ROADS - MORNING


  4. Driving a blue car, PETER is listening to the radio.


  5. PETER (V.O.): Oh, today is the 15th day of the 1st month of the Chinese New Year - the Spring Lantern Festival. It's the final day of New Year celebrations.

  6. Pausing.


  7. PETER (V.O.)(Cont'd): There're many folklore regarding the origin of this traditional cultural practice.


  8. Pausing.


  9. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): In the early days of its beginning, youngster and matchmakers went to public places in the hope of finding or matching love.


  10. Pausing.


  11. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): But it seems that Chinese have been westernised. Valentine's Day is much more relevant than the Spring Lantern Festival.


  12. Pausing.


  13. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Perhaps, the smell of roses is a lot better than the smell of burning oil.


  14. Act 2


  15. INT. STUDY - LATER


  16. Studying files, Peter jots notes.

  17. PETER (V.O.): Before enjoying the Spring Lantern Festival, I'd better do some professional work first.

  18. Working.


  19. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Okay, my preparation for the coming trial is largely done.


  20. Pausing.


  21. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Let me reward myself by filling up my stomach.

  22. INT. RESTAURANT - AFTERNOON


  23. Peter is checking the menu.


  24. PETER (V.O.): I love Wonton noodles and Red Bean Dessert Soup.


  25. After checking the number of customers, Peter goes to the CASHIER.


  26. PETER: Wonton noodles set. Takeaway please.


  27. Peter pays.


  28. PETER (V.O.): Eating at home is safer.


  29. INT. KITCHEN - LATER


  30. Listening to radio music, Peter enjoys the food he loves.


  31. PETER (V.O.): Oh, the program features a composer whom I know. He was two years senior to my then wife-to-be at the Music Department of CUHK.


  32. Listening.


  33. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): These are works he composed in the late 1970s. I was working in the squatter control unit , demolishing illegal structures.


  34. Pausing.


  35. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): While Sharon admired him, I envied him a lot.


  36. Peter finishes every bit of the noodles and the dessert.


  37. INT. STUDY - LATER


  38. Peter is back to work again.


  39. PETER (V.O.): Now, let me consider and draft my decision concerning a domain name dispute. I've to hand it down in early March.


  40. Examining texts on the computer screen, Peter researches with his phone.


  41. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My decision must be fair, impartial and authentic.


  42. Typing.


  43. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): My first rough draft is taking shape. I feel good that I should have to prepare for another court hearing.


  44. Reflecting.


  45. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Do I really love what I do?


  46. EXT. TSIM SHA TSUI AREA - EVENING


  47. Walking along the promenade, Peter takes photos of the Victoria Harbour.


  48. PETER (V.O.): The highlight is to take photos near the Clock Tower


  49. Arriving at the Clock Tower, Peter looks shocked.


  50. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): No Spring Lantern Festival decorations!


  51. Peter looks frustrated.


  52. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): I had expected capture nice video clips featuring the ox here.


  53. Act 3


  54. EXT. ROADS - NIGHT


  55. Sitting on the upper deck of a bus, Peter is in thoughts.


  56. PETER (V.O.): I'd mine my music video, featuring the Spring Lantern Festival. The visuals were nearly all captured at the Clock Tower venue.


  57. Pausing.


  58. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): As to the audio, it's a minor key love song. I wrote it from my heart. I felt love found me not at my best, but in my mess.


  59. Pausing.


  60. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): And all good things, including every year's celebrations and possibly the traditional Spring Lantern Festival, have to come to an end.


  61. Signing.


  62. PETER (V.O.) (Cont'd): Finding love, especially a lasting and matching one, without looking for it, is a romantic lie.
